This week we will take a look at the M.L. Trophy Grade III, the race is for rising stars, featuring a field of six 2 year olds. They’ll give it a go at 6 furlongs with a quarter of a million on the line.<\/p>\n
1 SUNDAY EMPEROR (IRE) 5\/1 (Holy Roman Emperor x Sunday Silence)
First up Daniel Stables will send out a son of Holy Roman Emperor who’s coming off a pair of wins. Those against a MSW and Allowance field with decent SP’s of 76\/74. Speeds figures make him a contender, but I don’t like the fact his sire has produced less then 1% graded winners. Will have to improve for a victory, and anythings possible will 2yo’s.<\/p>\n
2 HOLY ROMAN GAEL (IRE) 10\/1 (Holy Roman Emperor x Giants Causeway)
The longshot of the field racing out of Blacksoxuk Nordic Stables, and is another son of Holy Roman Emperor. He struggled to break his maiden, just accomplishing it last time out which was his forth start. He did do it with a career best SP70, but that willn’t be enough today. Needs big improvement<\/p>\n
3 A.P. PRO STAR (SAF) 7\/2 (A.P. Arrow x Storm Cat)
Zeco stables Belgium brings in a son of Freshman sire A.P. Arrow. Its hard to say what freshman sires will do, but A.P. Arrow looks off to a decent start, and having Storm Cat as a dam sire surely helps. A MSW winner first out, jumped right into Graded competition next out and finished a gallent 3rd only a mere 1\/4 lenght beaten with a SP82. That field was pretty strong, and given its his third start, after looking at the field, I picked A.P. PRO STAR for the WIN.<\/p>\n
4 HIGH HO SILVER (IRE) 5\/2 (High Chaparral x A.P. Indy)
Tazdevil Stables sends out the only Graded winner in the field. The son of High Chaparral won a MSW first out, and finally made it but to the winners circle last time in the Booby Papin-G2 with a SP85. That speed figure is the best among the field, and makes him a deserving co-favorite. Top jock T.Small is aboard and looks to get the job done. <\/p>\n
5 INCAL (KY) 7\/2 (Giants Causeway x Powerscourt)
Simply……..SUPER! Stables sends out the lone US bred runner in today’s field. He’s managed a Win\/Place\/Show in three attempts, last out was a 3rd in the Golden HandGrenade-G3 with a SP81. Unfortunely that was in a 4 horse field were he out finished a 99\/1 CPU runner. Needs to improve to hit the board again.<\/p>\n
6 ANGRY METEOR (AUS) 5\/2 (Northern Meteor x Mr. Prospector)
Shaghar Stables send in back to back winner Angry Meteor, won is coming off a stakes win with a SP84. Speed figure is second best of the group and makes in a strong contender, will look to break up on top and take it wire to wire for three in a row.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
