Five horses will line up to take on the GIII Snowy Hill. The Snowy Hill will be run over a firm mile and a quarter turf course. Five talented older horses will vie for the $150,000 purse with $90,000 going to the winner.

Drawing the rail is Long Time No See out of the bpace barn. Long Time No See is a five year old Turkish son of Manila out of a Septieme Ciel mare. Winner of ten races in thirty five starts, Long Time No See lives up to his name, by not seeing the winner’s circle in a long time. From the looks of his preferred running style is off the pace, but hasn’t shown that needed late kick to win. At 4/1 maybe Long Time No See will finally see the winner’s circle again.

Adrian4 sends out Spiritual Theatre a five year old Kentucky son of Theatrical out of a Halo mare. Eleven time winner, out of thirty seven tries, he won an open allowance last time out with a 108. Spiritual Theatre is a talented colt that can stretch his speed going a distance on the lead, or just off of it. At 3/1 his allowance win was impressive, but he has been lackluster lately in stakes competition, and although the race is light in entries it does have some talent in the field. Not ruling out but, not holding my breathe.

Sharood sends out the heavy favorite Stomin Jones. Stormin Jones is a four year old son of Storm Cat out of Jonestown a Seeking The Gold mare. Stormin Jones has won six times in just thirteen tries and comes into this race off of a spectacular grade three win at this distance. Like Spiritual Theatre, Stormin Jones is a horse who goes for the lead, but looks to have more natural front running speed than Theatre does, and should easily out duel him for the lead. At 3/2 its hard to pick against him, he loves the distance, and nothing seems to phase him, I don’t forsee a bounce. I just can’t tell how much this one is going to win by.

Breaking from post four is arminarm’s Tudor Manor. Tudor Manor is a five year old English bred son of Doyen out of a Strawberry Road mare. In twenty one starts he has won on seven different occasions. Tudor is an off the pace type of horse, but has not won in over six months. When he did last win he raced just two lengths off the leader to take over late to win it. At 5/2 he needs to be able to handle fast pace to run so close to the pace to make his final move to win it.

Citycowboy sends out the long shot of the field Final Cause. Final Cause is four year old son of Sadler’s Wells out of Lucky Finesse a Giant’s Causeway mare. In just eight starts he has two wins, and is graded stakes placed. Look for Final Cause to be trailing the field during the majority of the race, towards the end he should be flying, but this field has been more competitive than he has been. In his last race he got close to winning a grade two at nine furlongs, but in two prior attempts he was nowhere to be found. At 5/1 Final Cause tends to make a charge too late in the race to make much of an impact on this race.

That’s the field, another small but talented field. Every horse has a shot in this race, but I believe it will be Stormin Jones, with Spiritual Theatre and Tudor Manor in the end. Good luck to all, may your horses run fast and return to their stables safely.

[2

post-8348","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
