We have a fantastic field of 7 ladies aged 3 and up that are ready to run a mile and an eighth on the firm turf. These girls will be racing for the winner’s share of the $400,000 purse and Grade I glory. We have 4 of the top 12 classic turf ranked ladies in the world, including the #1 ranked VENGEANCE OF PAIN. Let’s take a look at our field.

GUINEAS TOAST out of the desimster1 stable out of the Shamrock group will be heading from the inside post. This 5 year old daughter of Kingmambo is representing Blazing Saddles today. She is coming off a Grade I victory last time out in the Foul Mouth Stakes in Europe. This was the first victory of the year for this mare and her second career Grade I victory. She had a disappointing 5th place finish in a 7 horse field in this event last year, though that was run with good turf. Look for GUINEAS TOAST to fall back a bit and then try to make a move as she has won from nearly 10 lengths back before. The morning line for this mare is 4/1.

Running from the #2 post is CRUCIAL KILL from the lenny11 stable and the Evil Empire. This 5 year old daughter of Pivotal will be representing GR Simsters today. This mare has 3 victories this year, two at the allowance level and one stakes victory. She is coming off a 2nd place finish in listed stakes company with a hard charging effort. This will be a major step up, but this girl has put up the numbers to compete with this field, her 9/2 morning line odds as evidence. She will be looking for her first graded race in the money, as she has finished 5th and 13th in her two previous attempts, both on dirt. This mare is a deep closer who has won from 15 lengths back on both surfaces. Expect CRUCIAL KILL to plummet to the back of the field only to charge hard back to the front.

FAMOUS INDY from the peeps7 stable and Conquest Farms will be our #3 horse today, representing GR Simsters. This is a 5 year old daughter of A.P. Indy coming off a disappointing 5th place finish in the Grade II Hot Polly last time out. This is another mare who likes to fall back, having won from as far back as nearly 15 lengths and from 11 lengths back as recently as this year. After a fantastic summer a year ago, this girl will be looking to regain that form and win at the Grade I level again. She goes off at 5/1 on the morning line.

CULINARY CUTIE from the buzz stable and Gipper group is our morning line favorite at 7/2. This 6 year old daughter of El Prado is coming off a 2nd place finish in the Grade II Call for Cash last time out. She will be representing the Universal Racing Group and will be coming out of the #4 post position. This is one of the few ladies that will not be looking to fall back, as she can either take the lead or stay a few lengths back and then try to catch up. She is mainly a miler but has won at this distance way back in 2007 at the Grade I level.

Out of the 5 hole we have the longshot of the day, 10/1 daughter of Ghostzapper, I DRINK ALONE. This 5 year old mare is representing lenny27, also out of the Evil Empire and GR Simsters. This will be a big step up in class, as this will be the first Graded race for this girl. She has had some great form this year though, posting 4 victories in 6 starts, including 2 stakes victories. This horse can win from the lead, from the back, or from the middle of the pack, having done all three. I am really surprised by the high odds, as this is a contender; I am guessing they are over counting the race where she came up injured.

LEAD ACTRESS from peeps11 also from Conquest Farms and the GR Simsters is running from the 6 spot. This 6 year old Theatrical mare is going off at 4/1 in the morning line. She is coming off an impressive victory in the Grade II Call for the Cash last time out where she beat our favorite. Her speed figures have improved as the year has gone on after a rough start to the season. Unlike the other Conquest Farms entry, LEAD ACTRESS will be our leader to start out this race and will run like mad to try to stay there.

From the outside post we have the #1 classical turf mare in the world in 4 year old VENGEANCE OF PAIN out of the texasace00 stable and Livestrong group. This daughter of Generous is coming off two consecutive victories including a Grade 1 victory. She is the reigning Breeders Bowl Champion for her category and seems to be continuing that form. She likes to step back a few lengths and let the rabbit wear out but keep enough lead over the deep closers. She goes off at 4/1.

This looks like a fantastic race shaping up. LEAD ACTRESS will grab the lead with CULINARY CUTIE sticking with her. VENGEANCE OF PAIN and I DRINK ALONE will stay back around 5 lengths. I would expect GUINEAS TOAST to fall 10 lengths back and both FAMOUS INDY and CRUCIAL KILL will move to 15 lengths back.

I would look for both VENGEANCE OF PAIN and I DRINK ALONE to take the lead midway through the race and CRUCIAL KILL to be the hardest charging closer.

Final Prediction: VENGEANCE OF PAIN to win, CRUCIAL KILL to place, with I DRINK ALONE for the show.

Good luck to all the connections!

[2

post-8293","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
