After taking a year off for the second time in 6 years of playing the sim, I was very interested in restarting again for some reason.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I decided to try and start with a clean slate only keeping about 15 of my then 100 horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Of those 15 horses, I raced them all the next week, and went 1-2-2-1-2.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Not a bad week at all for horses that had not raced in a year.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>My winner, a four year old mare that I had claimed for 20k, had just raced in an allowance race where she ran second right before my break.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I raced her in a 15k claim, and she ran amazing, running a 98 SP and winning at 8 FL on the turf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was so disappointed to see that out of the 15 horses I kept, 5 had been claimed that week, including my winner.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was down to 10 horses to begin my road to recovery.<\/P> Over the next few weeks, I saw my number of horses rise, as did my number of stables.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I created three new stables looking for a new residency experience as the only residency I had known was GR Simsters.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I then came upon the Blazing Saddles Residency.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It was the feeling of a new trainer all over again.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Claim, feel disappointed because your best claimer got claimed, and claim again.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The feeling of wanting more was rising in my like it had those long summer months back in 2004 when I created my first stable.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Finally I got some breeding help, and with the help of skunk, I bred my first horse since returning to the sim.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Using credits earned from writing BTB articles, I bred a horse with the sire name Tanino Gimlet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was finally going to have a Graded winner, or so I thought.<\/P> The days seemed fly by awaiting the week I trained for that young Gimlet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Finally the day came, I ran that Gimlet that Skunk had helped me breed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Though it ran 4th<\/SUP>, it was one of the best showings by a newly bred that I had even had.
