100 Guineas Race Recap<\/p>\n
The Bargain Series 100 Guineas took place in Virginia this past Saturday and was an exciting race that drew a full field of 20 which is always pure chaos to watch. Series newcomer Ben \u201cBargain\u201d Gowans made some major noise finishing 1st with Notting and 3rd with Rampant Ego. Both were recent claims which shows if you have a good eye for talent and price it is possible to immediately flip a claim into a bargain champ. Winner Notting (by City Zip) ran a monster race winning by 2 lengths and posting a solid 93 speed figure in the process while paying 29.90 to win on a $2 wager. Bargain Oaks winner Tin Buck Slew rounded out the exacta posting a 90 speed figure. Bargain Derby winner Mimbo Hill finished a solid 4th and I fully expect him to compete in the Bronx race assuming he came out of this race intact.<\/p>\n
Week 4351 is the next major race day on the Bargain Series calendar with The Bronx, Queens and Broadway Sprint featured that day.<\/p>\n
