Welcome to Maryland for the running of the Grade2 \u201cThe Turtle Bridge\u201d over the marathon journey of Two Miles on the fast dirt.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The jockeys have all been legged up and these beautiful ladies are making their way around to the start so lets have a look at the field and see if we can find the winner.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Daifa \u2013 31- 8-7-5<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Has been below her best in her last two starts however she may go forward and roll along in front here and could prove hard to run down. Looking at her form I assess her chances on her 4th<\/SUP> & 5th<\/SUP> runs back where she led all the way in easier races and really dominated from the front.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Coyote Smuggler \u2013 25- 9-5-6 <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

No surprise to see that this girl is the 9\/2 second favourite who also comes into this race through the Grade3 The Charlotte Cup. She was cruising along at the tail of the field and got a long way out of her ground when Early Morning Rain put the speed into the race. She was closing as well as anything in that race and after being as far as 12 lengths behind she only went down by 1-1\/4 lengths posting a 102SP. Extra distance here will suit.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>River Waif \u2013 17- 9-6-0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Has been running well in conditions allowance races lately and although she needs to lift a little to be competitive here, I could quite easily see her sitting up handy and running a handy race. One to keep in mind for Trifecta players.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Vindian Wells \u2013 34- 10-6-9<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Has been around the money in graded stakes races lately and finished 3rd<\/SUP> at her last run in the Grade1 The Thumb Route where she raced back in the field before running on nicely with a 99SP. At the odds she is great value for Trifecta tickets.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Rebecca\u2019s Roses \u2013 24- 6-6-5<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

This is one horse every trainer would love as she very rarely misses a cheque. Only blemish in 24 starts was her last run. If you look back through her form she has never missed a place over two miles, so it might pay to keep her safe. <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Ususal Suspect \u2013 18- 4-3-3<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Ran a great race in the Grade1 The Desert Lady Stayer finishing 2nd<\/SUP> after hitting the lead on the turn and then being run down in the straight. If she can repeat the 105SP she ran in that race she would be competitive here. <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Buffalo River \u2013 36- 5-6-3<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Has put together back to back career best runs. Last start she trailed the leader before storming home at the end of the race posting a 105SP. With the extra 4 furlongs here she will be storming home at the finish.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Three Buck Doot \u2013 25- 8-9-4<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Another who comes through the Grade3 The Charlotte Cup where she finished 3rd<\/SUP> beaten 3-1\/4 lengths posting a 101SP. We should maybe assess her chances on her previous run that was a win in the Grade1 The Thumb Route where she raced in behind the speed before running away to win with a 105SP. She has a big chance here.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Early Morning Rain \u2013 36- 14-8-6<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Our 4\/1 favourite for today\u2019s race that was a last start winner of the Grade3 The Charlotte Cup. In that race the 5y.o. Daughter of Mineshaft sat mid field before making her move in the back straight and then holding on to score by 1-1\/4 lengths posting a 103SP. If she repeats that here she will be hard to beat.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

10.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Rome \u2013 31- 11-9-2<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Has been running well in allowance races lately. If she can recapture her form from a year ago where in the Grade1 Pawned Handicap she came from last early over 12 furlongs to finish 2nd<\/SUP> posting a career high 109SP. Will get back early and if there is plenty of speed on early she may be getting home late.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/P>

11.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Got Lemons \u2013 10- 4-2-1<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Very lightly raced Daughter of Lemon Drop Kid who has certainly been thrown in the deep end here. Two starts back she went straight to the front over two miles and gave nothing else a chance extending her lead at every call to win by 8 lengths posting a 101SP. A repeat of that effort will see her fighting out the finish here.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

A very open race as the market suggests but I have come up with 2 \u2013 9 \u2013 8 for my Trifecta.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
