Today we are racing at Deauville which is situated to the north west of Paris. On today’s card the feature race is “The Coridor” which is a Grade2 race to be run over a Mile and Five Sixteenths on the Firm Turf Course for Fillies & Mares 4 years old and up.<\/P>
There are 9 beautiful Mares heading around to post so lets take a look at the field before they move into the gates.<\/P>
1. Kepler Fromer – 12- 4-5-2<\/P>
Raced her way up through the allowance grades before stepping up to Graded company for the first time at her last start. In her Graded Stakes debut she was just behind the leaders early then on the turn she made her move but just found a couple better in the run to the wire. If she can repeat that here she would be a chance.<\/P>
2. Moon Minister – 20- 5-7-4<\/P>
She has been running well in condition allowance races with her form reading well and then last start something really clicked and she put up a carrer best performance coming from the tail of the field to win running away posting a 109SP. At 9\/1 she is great value for trifectas.<\/P>
3. Blazing Inferno – 17- 6-2-4<\/P>
The roughest runner at 18\/1 and she is one to look at for the trifectas. Last start she cam from off the speed and absolutly destoryed a nice allowance field by a widening 5 lengths posting a 90SP. She needs to lift a bit here to win but she has a solid place chance.<\/P>
4. Haack’s Duchess – 19- 8-4-3<\/P>
If she brings her allowance form to this race she would be a good chance. She has been racing at Paris recently in excellant form with a win and a second placing. In both of those races she got well back before sprint well mid race to post SP’s of 104 & 101. Her previous Stakes form is a worry but i think maybe France is suiting this lass and she turns in a good run.<\/P>
5. Hoboken – 18- 10-3-3<\/P>
One of the likely leaders here and if she runs anywhere near he recent form she will be in this right up to her ears. Her last 4 starts have all been in stakes company returning 3 wins and a second with SP’s of 100, 102, 105 & 109. She has shown how she can sprint off the pace and put a space in the field and if she gets away with a cheap sectional they may not be able to run her down.<\/P>
6. A Warriors Queen – 15- 6-2-2<\/P>
She actually started her career on the dirt at her first two outings before being switched to the turf and she has never looked back since. Progressed well though her classes and then she stepped up to stakes company for the first time at her last outing leading all the way winning by 2 lengths posting a 109SP. Will go forward and if runs up to last start she will be thre for a long time.<\/P>
7. Maximum Odds – 16- 8-3-2<\/P>
Another who will race up on the speed and then try to out run them from the turn to the wire. Worked her way through the allowance grades and made an impressive satkes debut last start coming from second place in the run to run away and win the race by a widening 1-3\/4 lengths posting a 99SP. If she can run a 111SP as she did at her start before that then she would be very hard to beat here. <\/P>
8. Imtalkingjungledeep – 18- 11-3-1<\/P>
Today’s 7\/2 favourite and comes into this race in very conisitant form. Last time out in Grade3 company she sat just behind the leaders before making a move heading into the stretch but she just ran out of steam in the run to the line. With a record of 11 wins in 18 starts you know she will be in the finish here.<\/P>
9. Lonely Rider – 13- 7-3-2<\/P>
Has had two starts in stakes level for two wins. Another who has shown that she can race up on the speed. At her second last outing she ran a career high 110SP in her stakes debut on an off track. Last start was a great run winning by an even bigger margin posting a 97SP. Back to a firmer surface here and if she runs that 110SP she will be very hard to beat.<\/P>
A very hard race to assess with so many beautiful horses engaged. My selections for the race are 4 – 2 – 5.<\/P>
