The French 2000 Guineas<\/st1:country-region> is one of only two G1 races scheduled throughout the Sim circuit this weekend is being run in Paris<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The other G1 event is also held here in Paris<\/st1:City> and is the preceding race, the French 1000 Guineas<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Both are set to go a mile, however the race we are focused on, the 2000 Guineas<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> is open to all horses that are the age of three.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The race has attracted a moderate size field of eight and the race will be contested on the grass surface.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A look at the field\u2026..<\/P>

1.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ahead and Zillion\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN>5-2<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Ahead and Zillion ran a horrible race this past February but got his act back together by winning the Kcusrocek Stakes with a speed of 105.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His last start scored a speed of 108, a career best, and a G3 win in the Blue Fountain wiring the field for the first time, which was accomplished over this track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jessie \u201cThe Body\u201d Ventura<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> (17% win) will be aboard the favorite and the two look like a good fit.<\/P>

2.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jumping Down\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>6-1<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Jumping Down also ran over this track on his last start, finishing 7th<\/SUP> in the No Allies G2 going 10.5f and a speed of 86.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He switches from top jock Bu Wu to the next best, Jack Ledwith (23% win).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s taking a drop in distance in this race but his last performance over this track leaves a lot of question marks, enough to make me take a pass.<\/P>

3.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Infinite Bling\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>4-1<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

With a record of 6-1-0 in 8 starts, Infinite Bling is a solid horse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His only finish off the board was his last start, finishing 5th<\/SUP> in the Japanese 2000 Guineas (G1) running 10f and a speed of 98.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jockey Bu Wu (25% win) likes this late closer enough to accept the saddle call.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bling faces a much smaller field than what he\u2019s seen in recent races and he will be a contender with some value.<\/P>

4.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sadler\u2019s Duke\u00a0 <\/SPAN>10-1<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Sadler has been tagged as a longshot in this race by the oddmakers.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With only 4 races, Sadler has two wins.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The other two starts were his sole shots in graded races where he failed to hit the board.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His last race was in the No Allies G2 at 10.5f finishing fifth with a speed of 89 over this track.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He needs to show something at the graded level in order to gain some support and it doesn\u2019t look like that will happen in this race.<\/P>

5.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Mean Dice\u00a0 <\/SPAN>7-1<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Mean Dice has a turf record of 5-2-2 in 10 starts with the only race off the board occurring on an off-track, a throw away race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Mean Dice likes to run near the front and has been known to set the face, however,\u00a0 <\/SPAN>he has yet to hit the triple digits in speed, which will be needed here.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He probably won\u2019t win, but he may have enough left to earn some cash.<\/P>

6.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trizan\u00a0 <\/SPAN>7-2<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Trizan was ablaze when he won The Doctor Is In Memorial (G3) wiring the field at 8.5f in a speedy 108!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That was the first time he wired in his career and this El Prado horse has something going for him.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>But, he also has something working against him and that would be the 112 pound jockey Bernie Mann who will be aboard bringing his lackluster 6% win record along with him.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

7.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Riverboat Prince\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>8-1<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

For the first time, Riverboat Prince made the bold move to set the pace in his last start, the G2 South African Classic.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It almost paid off as he gave up the lead late in the 9f race and finished second and set a career best speed of 102.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The speed was much improved and I think a similar racing strategy will be used in this race as there isn\u2019t a lot of early speed and it could work if he can open up any sizeable lead.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>My gut tells me he may get the lead, but it won\u2019t be enough to carry to the end.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

8.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Draw the Button\u00a0 <\/SPAN>8-1<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Draw the Button switched to the turf recently and his speed numbers took off.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In February he hit the 90\u2019s for the first time finishing 2nd<\/SUP> in an allowance race with a 92.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last month, he made his debut in graded racing and scored another 2nd<\/SUP> in the G3 Dracula Stakes at 12-1 and hitting a career mark of 107 for the 8f race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Gotta love that bump in the speed number.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bobby \u201cBella\u201d Lugosi is a respectful rider with 11% win will be handling the reigns.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Longshot players may find Draw the Button worth the risk and the only drawback I see is he ships across the big pond from Kentucky<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> to make this race.<\/P>
