Welcome to New York<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> for today\u2019s Grade II Long Island Sprint!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m Dydalt, and I will be giving you a rundown of today\u2019s runners.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It looks to be a top notch field from top to bottom, and I must say that any one of these girls has a very good shot at winning the race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The track appears to be fast for this 6 furlong, dirt race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>So if you\u2019re ready let us check out the ladies.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP 1:<\/B>\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sender1 will enter Not Fire Not Theft <\/I><\/B>into this race today.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jockey B. Dirks will try to ride this 7\/1 shot into the winners circle.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Two Grade I\u2019s and a Grade III have highlighted this 5 year old mares last three races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the Grade I Breeders bowl three races ago, he ran a 106 SP while finishing 9th<\/SUP> out of 14 horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the Grade I Lightning Lady\u2019s Sprint 2 races ago, his SP continued to decrease with a 92 SP at 6 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 13th<\/SUP> place finish for this girl meant back to a Grade III race in The Hurricane Ben Handicap.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She rebounded nicely in the 6.5 furlong race though running a 112 SP and earning a 1st<\/SUP> place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>B. Dirks has just under 1500 races under his belt, along with an 8.7 winning percentage\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 2:<\/B>\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The 5 year old mare Mau Mau<\/I><\/B> will be in post position number two today.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Owner stormborn will put his trust in jockey P. Davis to bring home the win today.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 9\/1 shot has bounced around from a Graded attempt last time out to Stakes to Allowance races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out was a 107 SP, 6th<\/SUP> place finish in the Grade II Distaff Breeders Bowl.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This was preceded by a first place, 95 SP finish in an NW3N Allowance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Three races back, this girl ran in the GR Champs restricted stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 102 SP, and 3rd<\/SUP> place was earned in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With just over 5000 races under his belt, and an 12.2 Win percentage, I would say she got a nice jockey draw.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/I><\/B><\/P>

PP 3:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Jockey B. Child will be riding this 5 year old mare into what he hopes will be a nice graded win after racing her last 5 races in the stakes division.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Verdugos hopes La Gran Verduga<\/I><\/B> can start to get her SP\u2019s to start rising again.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Her last three races have continued to show falling SP\u2019s.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In three 6 furlong stakes races, this 12\/1 shot has gone 1st<\/SUP>, 3rd<\/SUP>, 1st<\/SUP>, while earning SP\u2019s of 107,100, and 97.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Despite the falling SP\u2019s this horse was riding a 5 race winning streak into the week of the 9th<\/SUP> of January.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She had a little slip up in a 3rd<\/SUP> place finish in the La Deed La Special stakes race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With a win last time out, another win today would start a nice new streak.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>B. Child has a 14.6 career lifetime winning percentage, while holding a whooping 6200 career races under his belt.<\/P>

PP 4:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Victoryrun is looking for a fresh start when he sends the 11\/1 shot Idolatria <\/I><\/B>out for today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jockey R. Foster will ride this 6 year old mare in today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Coming off of a middle of the pact Grade I Thunderbird Dash performance, this girl hopes to rebound and bring home the bacon here today.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With a big 108 SP in an allowance race three races back, this girl moved up to stakes company.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 97 SP, second place finish in the Merkin Special, got this girl the bump to Grade I quality.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This girl likes to set the pace, so look for her to be leading the pack out of the gate.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Foster has a 9.8 winning percentage with just under 2000 races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 5:\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Flanking Maneuver <\/I><\/B>gets the call up to Graded duty after posting 5 speed figures in the 100\u2019s in her last 6 races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Appower will put his 10\/1 horse and potential earnings in the hands of L. Israel.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Israel<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> has just an 8.4 winning percentage, but has just over 200 races in his career.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 5 year old mare has ran in three straight stakes races before today posting SP\u2019s of 104, 115, and 107.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Although no win has come since August 29 for this girl, she has a great chance at seeing her drought end today.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 6:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>The long shot in today\u2019s race tries to keep her young winning streak alive.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sitting at just 4 years old, this mare was entered by ssutton.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Roman Spirit<\/I><\/B>, the 30\/1 shot will get the ride from jockey M. Turner in today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This girl is coming of a 108 SP, first place finish in the Photo Billie Challenge Stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>An open allowance 2 races back was a victory for this girl, posting a 107 SP.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That coming of a 3 month lay off, after posting a horrific 70 SP, 10th<\/SUP> place finish, in which this horse was 17 and \u00bd lengths back.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was doing fine up until then winning a open allowance, stakes, and Grade III race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Turner has 1200 races in his hands, and only a 7 percent winning percentage to show for it.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 7:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Bar13 will be watching the middle of the gates as his girl Rhapsody Bloom<\/I><\/B> comes as the halfway point of today\u2019s entries.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 13\/1 shot will be ridden by R. Bullock.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bullock has an 8.1 winning percentage in 1200 career races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>As for Rhapsody, this 6 year old mare has been back and fourth in the winners circle.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A race on sloppy dirt last time out posted a 97 SP, third place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A winning circle performance 2 races ago earned her a 100 SP.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 107 SP three races ago, earned her a 3rd<\/SUP> place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/B><\/P>

PP 8:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>The 5\/1 favorite Storm Puppy <\/I><\/B>is our next girl in line.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Amandas puts her hopes of a win in the hands of S. Coomer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Coomer has 1500 races and an 8.5 winning percentage in his career.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 5 year old mare posted triple ones for her SP her last time out, earning a 3rd<\/SUP> place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 98 SP 2 outings ago earned her a win in an open allowance race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 108 SP Grade I performance preceded that race, but the girl ended up coming in 4th<\/SUP>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 9:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Our 9th<\/SUP> horse today is the 20\/1 shot Not Again Again.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B>Loubrown will send this 4 year old mare out to run with the big girls.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>M. Humphrey will get the saddle today even with a 6.7 winning percentage in 122 career races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This girl will try to make it 5 in a row after today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With SP\u2019s of 109, 103, and 88 in her last three races, I think she may have a shot at doing that.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Granted that it was a stakes race last time out, and 2 open allowances before that, this girl may be a dark horse to win, and if not that, make that trifecta rise.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/P>

PP 10:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Our first double digited horse of the day is 6\/1 shot Clark<\/I><\/B><\/st1:PlaceName> County<\/st1:PlaceType><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B>Simsters3 and N. Lawton<\/st1:place> hope to both see a paycheck heading their way after today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This come from behind horse has been alternating from turf to dirt, trying to find a favorite surface.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Even running SP\u2019s in the 100\u2019s, this 6 year old gal prefers the dirt to the turf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out in the Grade I Thunderbird Dash, this girl ran a 107 SP, second place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That was preceded by a stakes race on turf, and a 108 SP, first place finish in the Curve Memorial stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Lawton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has a 19.9 winning percentage in 8 thousand races!\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/P>

PP 11:\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Cat Around <\/I><\/B>owned by jcasino will be an 8\/1 shot for today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The second of the Israel<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> brothers will be riding this girl in today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>S. Israel<\/st1:place> has a 9.9 winning percentage in 1600 career races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Only slightly better than his brothers 8.4 winning percentage.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Cat Around had a rough outing last time out, earning a 6th<\/SUP> place finish in the Thunderbird Dash.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Posting a 101 SP in that race, she tried to run with the leaders, but fell short in the end.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This was preceded by an extraordinary 119 SP in sloppy dirt conditions for the Grade III Leading Lady.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Curve Memorial three races back was a 105 SP, 2nd<\/SUP> place finish.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 12:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Andermanis sends Batter\u2019s Box<\/I><\/B> to the mound for today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>R. Haffner will be riding this 19\/1 shot in today\u2019s race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Haffner has a 9.8 race percentage in 2400 career races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In an open allowance last time out Batter\u2019s Box posted a 102 SP, second place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A 100 SP, first place finish 2 races ago was preceded by a 90 SP first place finish in an allowance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This girl likes to run with the leader, so she will see if she can\u2019t set the pace and bring home a W in today\u2019s race. <\/P>

PP 13:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Winding down, we have Starset<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 4 year old mare is an 11\/1 shot in today\u2019s race, and was entered by seedley2.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>9.5 winning percentage jockey R. Michaels will be riding her today.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Michaels has just over 1300 races under his belt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Posting a 105 SP, 5th<\/SUP> place finish last time out in the Grade III The Hurricane Ben Handicap, this girl ran a gigantic 116 SP in the Grade III Leading Lady.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She only managed a 2nd<\/SUP> place finish in that one though, and was preceded by a 98 SP, fifth place finish in the Grade II La Zebra.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>

PP 14:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/B>Last but not least we have the 8\/1 shot Smoked Ya.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B>Theogbarn will pray for jockey N. Painter to bring home the gold.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Painter has a middle of the pack 104 winning percentage in 3600 career races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out was a first place finish for this girl, posting a 105 SP in the Sunny Millions F&M Sprint.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This race was preceded by a win and a place in the Capacidad Stakes and the Pine Country Stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She posted SP\u2019s of 111 and 108 in those two races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/P>
