The Grade One, mile and an eighth race was a wire to wire showcase for the good looking filly.

The chestnut Empire Maker young lady had a bit of trouble holding on to the lead in her previous two races but had no problem whatsoever here as she won by nearly 3 lengths over a promising field of young fillies. She got back to triple figure speed with a 103 after dropping back from a mile and a quarter last time out. This speed horse loves the lead and was right where she wanted to be all race. H. Ross in the moved her right where he wanted her and she responded well throughout the race. Trainer lenny13 has to be tickled as this race moves her earnings over one million dollars.

The top three in the race stayed in the same order from right at the start throughout the race and across the wire. Termantia and Corsaffair were two and three length back along the entire course. All three speed horses built a big lead on the rest of the field and held it as the furious rush at the end never got close enough to press the leaders. I’m sure there will be some questions for the jockeys of Berenguela and Seeking Perfection as they were allowed to drop too far back early in the race to seriously contend.

It appears that Empire Reef will be much happier at a mile and an eighth and trainer lenny13 will be happier with her as well.

[3

post-774","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
