He sure showed me an everyone else as he ran a nearly perfect race in the inaugural running of the Teleprompter Cap G1 here in the New Zealand summer this weekend.

Trainer and owner SteveMunoz had to be tickled with the race of his four year old charcoal colt. IN MY BLOOD who gathered jockey Ruzek his first win of the year ran a nearly perfect race that enabled him to gain his 9th victory in only 15 tries. He has now won three Graded races although this was his first Grade One. He has over $1.1 million in earnings after picking up the $450k check for first place. The 109 SPF tied for his best and set the standard for the race in coming years. He improved his rank from number twelve to number five in the older sprint turf class.

As predicted, there was plenty of early speed in the race with our winner sitting on the shoulder of ITS NOT FOR GIRLS who took the early lead until he fell back at the half. IN MY BLOOD then jumped out front and never looked back. Both SCIENTIFIC PROOF and ETHICS PARADOX tried to catch the winner down the stretch but fell just a bit short in the end. Morning Line favorite HIGHSIDE finished fifth in a game effort and finished just behind NEW SENSATIONS who took fourth.

Also Rans: NEW SENSATIONS(KY), HIGHSIDE(IRE), MAXIMUS PRIME(KY), EIGHTSIXSEVENFIVE(JPN), SISSON’S SUPERSTAR(KY), TSKAN KEE HO(KY), ITS NOT FOR GIRLS(KY), APPROPRIATELY(KY), SATRUS(KY), FOOLPROOF SCHEME(KY), CLARITY THRU SMOKE(KY).

With SCIENTIFIC PROOF and his 20/1 odds following the winner we had really nice payouts for the Exacta in the amount of $427.60 and the Trifecta paid $3965.40.

SteveMunoz has struck first in the Turf Spring class for this year with his colt IN MY BLOOD and he looks like he may be a real player throughout the rest of this year. There were plenty of great horses in this race that may have something to say about that though! It should be fun to watch and I hope to be there!

Good luck to all runners!

Email your comments to pazjazz.btb@gmail.comI love to hear from you!

[3

post-7681","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-reviews
["GET
