More Horses Than Buyers In <\/SPAN><\/B>Kentucky<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> <\/SPAN><\/B>Sale<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

Auction 3896<\/SPAN><\/B>: Sales plummeted this week even though the number of horses entered was up considerably.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Only three of the 592 horses entered sold for more than a million dollars and all three just barely made the benchmark.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Even the eight year olds and up, the senior citizens of the Sim suffered, with only four of the 36 horses offered selling for more than a dollar.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Leading the way in that group was # 77992 Puddy Wheat<\/B> a 9 YO stallion by Phone Trick who sold for $21,429 to Candyland<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Puddy has won eight of his 56 starts and won four of those in the past 12 months.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The 2 YO’s stayed pretty steady with 11 being entered this week and all but two of them sold.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Hip number 143268 Peg It Here<\/B> (Danzig Connection) was a closing second last time out but Starpukie<\/I><\/B> did not get a bid over the set reserve of $2,000,000.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ryan’s Big One<\/B> (Soldier’s Tale) also did not meet his reserve of $1,000,000.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He had finished fourth in his only start and returned home with his owner Rdog.<\/I><\/B>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>One of my favorite buys of the week was a 4YO colt named Corconte<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The bay son of Hennessy out of a Forty Niner mare has only won one of his 22 starts but has finished in the money in nine times.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He comes with a lot of conditions and the option to drop in class as he won his last out in a MSW in <\/SPAN>Wyoming<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His dam was a nice mare named Bidasoa who won nine of 31 starts including three stakes and was graded placed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is the dam of three, all winners, one who is stakes placed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Heartz1<\/I><\/B> paid only $15,988 for this horse.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Showing the way this week was Whos Leaving Who<\/B> #168852.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The handsome 3 YO colt by El Prado was consigned by Xdecolex<\/I><\/B> and sold for $1,200,000.00 to Y2j<\/I><\/B> a division of the Winnett Group.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Out of a Fusaichi Pegasus mare, the striking dark gray colt is still a maiden from six starts but looks like he is beginning to mature since turning three.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He had a 20 point jump in his speed figure the last time he ran and if Winnett can get this colt to finish through the stretch he might be a good one.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Hip # 177397 Grip It And Rip It<\/B> sold for $1,000,002.00.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The unraced 2 YO dark bay colt is by Point Given and out of a Deerhound mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Fes977<\/I><\/B> sold this one to Lionsfan<\/I><\/B> and word around the clocker’s corner is this colt has some speed and is very near a race.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Maximum Mambo<\/SPAN><\/B> #127910 is a 3 YO giant chestnut filly by Kingmambo out of the good racemare High Ransom (Red Ransom).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Mambo is still winless from five starts but due to her size may be just a late developer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Topicount signed the ticket for $1,000,000.00 under the Click<\/I><\/B> division of her stables.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sold by Axemjack86<\/I><\/B>, Mambo is the first foal of the two time Grade I winner High Ransom who won 11 of her 27 starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She also has an unraced 2 YO.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
