There’s <\/SPAN><\/B> Auction 3875:<\/SPAN><\/B>\u00a0 <\/SPAN>There were 14 horses that sold for a lot of money this week.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Kingab<\/I><\/B> and Trotter<\/I><\/B> were having quite a dispersal sale and between the two of them accounted for all but one of the top five selling horses and I think the fifth is probably one of Larry’s stables also.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Aside from the top 14 top sellers there were 34 senior horses and eight sold for more than a dollar.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The top seller among the 8 and up crowd was a nice looking 8 YO bay stallion called Clever<\/B> Miner<\/B> # 64024.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He hasn’t won in over six months but a change of scenery might help.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Kittycats<\/I><\/B> paid $123,457.00 for the stake’s winning son of <\/SPAN> In looking over the auction stats for this week, the Computer stable took home a few less and the average was up due to all the million plus horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Three more horses were entered this week, including 39 by Trotter and all of his sub barns.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>All the 2 YO’s that were entered sold and there looked to be some nice ones among them including a winning son of Septieme Ciel, Light Dawn<\/B> purchased by Cwhisper<\/I><\/B>. Reserve honors went to # 3126 Westburg<\/B>, a maiden 3YO dark bay colt by Tufflesburg.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trotter<\/I><\/B> sold this colt to Alagou<\/I><\/B> (Jacklad) for a hefty $3,895,738.00 and I think Jacklad may be pleasantly surprised by this colt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>While he has never won a race, he is 3\/5 in the money and he has never tried the turf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Westy is the only foal of the three time winning mare Nine Volt Heart by Gone West and he has improving speed figures and has closed in every race which will hopefully mean that with a little more distance he will improve by leaps and bounds. Probable Coz<\/SPAN><\/B> # 27686 sold for $3,000,001.00 to Tejanorun<\/I><\/B> and is a two time winning filly by Cozzene.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The big gray filly has started ten times and won her last out at the allowance level but better than that, she has not been worse than third in her last six outs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is from the Gone West he\/mare Rainslicker and Trotter<\/I><\/B> consigned this lightly raced, 4 YO. Auror<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B> signed the ticket to take home #165761 Lightning Wave<\/B> for $2,215,004.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Consigned by Bobcat<\/I><\/B>, the 3YO light chestnut colt is by Storm Cat and out of an Alydar mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He went wire to wire in both of his winning efforts but stopped badly in his other five starts and might need lasix.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However, if anyone can improve this colt it is Fernando who is one of the top trainers in the sim world by anybody’s standards. The last of the top five horses was Top Forty<\/B> #150950.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Top Forty is a lovely roan filly by Unbridled Song out of the Forty Niner mare Nine Rae. Top Forty has not won in some time but seems to close well and may want more distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has only won one of her eight races but she is out of a nine time stakes winning mare and those include two graded wins.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Nine Rae has had six foals to race and five of them are winners including one stakes winner and one that is stakes placed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dshock<\/I><\/B> sold this 4 YO filly to Seedly2<\/I><\/B>. The Auction Seen:<\/SPAN><\/B>\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I did not see anyone at the auction this week and it wasn’t the snow or the cold weather that kept me home in sunny <\/SPAN> She wanted me to bring them on Saturday and as she was busy all morning we planned on early afternoon.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I always try to take them when they are 15 to 30 days out from foaling as that gives them time to settle into their new home.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>So I sat and waited, after giving one some banamine so she could travel (she has a badly deformed foot from an old suspensory injury at the racetrack) and waited and waited.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She finally called and told me she wouldn’t be home until about three, so I kept waiting and finally she called and said she was home so I could bring the horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>By now, it was almost five in the evening and so Matt and I loaded up the first one to run her over to the vet’s place about 15 miles away.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I have to take them one at a time as they are too fat to both fit in my trailer at the same time.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>
