Visions of trifecta payoffs danced through our heads. Could we really tout a winning multiple ticket in the BTB?<\/P><P>Uhhh. No.<\/P><P>Just like we thought he would, the <EM>Pureluck Stables&#8217;<\/EM> <STRONG>ANTIQUE GOLD<\/STRONG> had rocketed from the gate and was enjoying a dream trip all alone on the front end. A bit of a hiccup at the 3f marker portended of later disaster, but Antique Gold was still open lengths in front at the head of the lane.<\/P><P>We still had a chance when the winner, the <EM>Natrap Stables<\/EM> <STRONG>OUT OF OUR WAY<\/STRONG>, went by, but when two more horses passed Antique Gold, our trifecta dreams were dashed. Ahh well. Feels like old times<\/P><P>Congratulations to the Natrap Stables. I guess the morning line oddsmaker was right to make this 5yo son of Forty Niner the 5-1 race favorite.
