This race will be across the dirt track which should be listed as fast at post time. This race is restricted to 4 year old and older Fillies and Mares only. Eight horses will make the start as they travel 12 furlongs to see who can get to the wire first and collect their trip to the winner’s circle. The morning line odds have been released, and the post positions have been drawn. Let us now take a preview of the eight starters for in the G2, Hand Holding Stakes.

1

GUNCAT

KY

4F

givenelite

Q Cassell

16

8

69%

$527,602

68.00

5/1

Heading out first we have this 4 year old Brown Filly (GUN RUNNER x MEDAGLIA D’ORO x DISTORTED HUMOR ) that has powered her way to four straight wins in a row in her four most recent starts. She was most recently seen running in New Mexico going 12 furlongs in the G2, Big Desert Stakes. She in typical style would make a late charge down the stretch picking off horses as she made her way to the wire first with a 112 speed rating. She has looked tough and should put up a fight on Saturday representing the GR Simsters residency.

2

KATE DEE

KY

4F

beerkeg26

D Brock

18

4

78%

$267,015

17.00

6/1

Next, we have this 4 year old Light Grey Filly (TAPIT x DEPUTY MINISTER x DANEHILL ) that has been running well for the owner that has not missed hitting the boards in her three most recent starts. She was last seen running in Italy where she would go 12 furlongs in a Listed Stakes, Alyluck Dirt Mare Stayer. She would gain control of this race by the third call and go on to win by more than eight lengths with a 113 speed rating. She is moving up in class to make the start this Saturday when she heads out to challenge representing the Midas residency.

3

THE SILVER DAGGER

KY

5F

upperhand3

Z Edwards

27

12

74%

$587,836

39.00

4/1

Here we have this 5 year old Light Grey Mare (TAPIT x INTO MISCHIEF x WAR FRONT ) that two starts back would pick up the win in a Listed Stakes, Buck the System Dirt Mare Memorial. She would then make her most recent start in New Mexico where she would go 12 furlongs in the G2, Big Dessert Stakes. She ran second up until the third call but would lose ground down the stretch and cross the wire in fifth with a 107 speed rating. Her most recent hit on the boards in a graded start came back in December and she is seeking to strike it big this season when she heads over to her gate representing the GR Simsters residency.

4

COMPANYOFSTRANGERS

KY

5F

americanasr0

K Ledwith

25

5

68%

$945,160

24.00

9/2

This is a 5 year old Light Grey Mare (AMERICAN PHAROAH x TAPIT x KINGMAMBO ) that two starts back would pick up the win in the G3, No Regrets Stakes. She had a fast race with a 115 speed rating in that start. She then made her most recent start here in Japan where she would go 14 furlongs in the G1, the Sneaky Sneaky Stayer. This start would not be as kind to her as she did not seem to find the spark she found in her prior race. She would cross the wire in fourth with a 108 speed rating. Coming down in distance for this Saturdays start the owner would like to see her put up a big effort when she breaks from her gate representing the Orphan Racing residency.

5

FORM RULER

ITY

4F

baileylegend

I Lopez-Onna

14

7

86%

$186,063

11.50

13/1

Here we have a 4 year old Light Grey Filly (RULER OF THE WORLD x DYNAFORMER x UNBRIDLED’S SONG ) that would be claimed last year in September in a $60000 NW4L start. Under her new ownership she has only been off the boards in one of her starts. In her most recent start in the Czech Republic, she would go 10.5 furlongs in a Listed Stakes, Apache Princess Dirt Mare Route. She would close the gap down the final stretch to get into third at the wire with a 105 speed rating. She is moving up in class this weekend to make her first graded start and will need to come with her best effort when she heads over to her gate representing the Down Under Racing residency.

6

LAWRIE

KY

5F

ebro

C Meads

20

3

75%

$440,788

44.00

6/1

Next, we will see this 5 year old Light Grey Mare (GHOSTZAPPER x TAPIT x KINGMAMBO ) that two starts back would find a second place finish in the G3, No Regerts Stakes. She would then head out for her most recent start here in Japan going 14 furlongs in the G1, The Sneaky Sneaky Stayer. She held her spot in third out of the gate until the third call. Down the stretch she would fade hard to fall back to a distance sixth when she hit the wire with a 106 speed rating. She will drop in class and distance for the start on Saturday that the owner hopes will strike her interest when she comes out in the post parade representing the Empire State Racing residency.

7

GUNNAR

KY

5F

bosox4

D Lakencher

19

5

53%

$389,032

6.50

4/1

This is a 5 year old Brown Mare (GUN RUNNER x SEEKING THE GOLD x STORM CAT ) that has placed in multiple graded racing including the G2, Moonpie Stakes two starts back of which she came in second. Her most recent start was in New York going 10 furlongs in the G2, Out Of The City Handicap. Things would not go her way in this start as she never found her footing and traveled the track way back in this race throughout. She would cross the wire almost twelve lengths back in tenth with a 104 speed rating. The owner is in hope to see a rebounding effort out of his mare this weekend when they head over to their gate representing the Empire State Racing residency.

8

GAULISH DEBTOR

KY

4F

pogsplanb1

S L Ledwith

15

7

80%

$335,240

30.50

4/1

Making their way over to the final gate in this race will be this 4 year old Light Grey Filly (TAPIT x FORTY NINER x DANZIG ) that in the past two seasons has made twelve starts and only missed the boards one time. In her most recent start in New Mexico she would move up in class to run in the G2, Big Dessert Stakes. She would prove a contender making her first graded start as she crossed the wire in third with a 110 speed rating. She has a good record coming into this race and could again prove to be a contender when she heads out of the paddock representing the GR Simsters residency.

Good luck to all owners and horses!

Skippy’s Watch List

1-Guncat: Four wins in a row.
