His best career performance came two back in a 4.5 allowance race where he led every step of the way to win by 1/2 length over a compact field of 4 earning him a 68 speed rating for his lone career victory. He is out of an Exceed and Excel mare who did not have a particularly notable racing career and who has gone on to modest success but she has yet to produce a stakes winner in 13 crops. He was a non factor in his only stakes attempt and he would have to take a big step forward to make an impact here. He is the longest shot on the board at 19/1

2.Never Hit Back

Owner/Trainer:speedkils

2 year old colt by No Nay Never has a record of 1 win, 2 seconds, and 1 third in 4 career starts with lifetime earnings of over $50,000. His best career performance came last time out in a 6.5f stakes race where he sat just off the pace and battled down the stretch to finish 3rd beaten just 1/4 of length earning him a career best 85 speed rating for the race. He is out of a Grade One winning mare by Foxwedge who has produced 2 graded stakes winners in her first 8 crops. Consistent colt has hit the board in all 4 of his career starts with his last 3 coming in stakes company. He is still seeking his first stakes win and he will step up against Graded Stakes company for the first time but he has impoved in every race and he has the right to take another step forward here. His odds are 5/1

3. Extreme Oasis

Owner/Trainer:fdllodge3

2 year old gelding by Extreme Choice has a record of 1 win in 5 career starts with lifetime earnings of over $40,000. His best career performance came in a 6f maiden allowance where he set the early pace and battled to win by 1/2 length over a field of 12 earning him a 75 speed rating for his lone career win. He is the first progeny out of an Oasis Dream mare who had a decent but abbreviated career. He does have an experience edge over many in the field and he did show a boost in speed rating since being gelded but he will need to show he can be competitive against this level of competition at this stage in his career. He is 8/1

4.Hepatrix

Owner/Trainer:woodlandhills

2 year old Grade Two winning colt by Vancouver is a perfect 4 for 4 in his career with lifetime earnings of over $275,000. His best career performance came last time out in the 6f Gr.2 The July Stakes where he stalked the early pace in 3rd before taking command down the stretch and pulling away to win by 2 3/4 lengths equalling a career best 90 speed rating in his stakes/graded stakes debut. He is the second stakes winner and first graded stakes winner out of a stakes winning Dubawi mare who was also Grade One placed during her racing career. Talented colt has done nothing wrong in his career and he has won all 4 of his races by open lengths. He is the class of the field as the only grades stakes winner in the race and he comes in ranked as the #7 turf 2 year old in the world. He looks extremely tough in here and he could be on his way to contend for End Of Year honors. He has been installed as your 5/2 morning line favorite.

5. Rich Gannon

Owner/Trainer:epicenter

2 year old stakes winning colt by No Nay Never has a record of 2 wins and 1 second in 3 career starts with lifetime earnings of over $100,000. His best career record came in his career debut in a 5.5f stakes race where he stalked the early pace and pulled away to win by 3 3/4 lengths over a field of 9 earning him a 79 speed rating for the score. He is out of a stakes winning and graded stakes placed More Than Ready mare who has produced 3 stakes winners in 5 crops including two Grade Two winners. Talented colt has not missed the the board in his career and he is coming into this race off of a solid allowance score in preparation for this. He has a class edge over much of the field as 1 of only 2 stakes winners in the field and he is set to go off as your 3/1 second choice on the morning line.

6.Mostaist

Owner/Trainer:aquadeep3

2 year old colt by Mostahdaf is 1 for 1 in his career with lifetime earnings of over $35,000. His lone career start was in a 5.5f maiden allowance where he trailed the field early before exploding down the stretch to win by 2 3/4 lengths over a field of 11 earning him an 81 speed rating for the victory. He is out of a Kodiac mare who was a mid level claiming/allowance type during her racing career but who has gone on to produce two stakes winners including a Grade Two winner. Precocious colt takes a big step up in class in his second start but he could be any type. He is listed at 8/1

7. Highland Proisir

Owner/Trainer:2014sims0

2 year old colt by Proisir has a record of 1 win in 2 career starts with over $25,000 in lifetime earnings. His best career performance came last time out in a 6f maiden allowance where he battled for the early lead and took command at the top of the stretch, pulling away to win by 2 3/4 lengths over a field of 12 earning him an 81 speed rating in his turf debut. He is out of a a productive race mare by Highland Reel who has had modest success in 4 crops as a broodmare. He will be taking a big step up in class in his first start against winners but he had always dangerous early speed and he really came to life when switching to the grass. He is 15/1 on the morning line

8. Altenhaus

Owner/Trainer:oakridge14

2 year old gelding by Palace Pier has a record of 1 win in 2 career starts with lifetime earnings of over $5,000. His best career performance came in his career debut in a 5f allowance hot race where he led every step of the way en route to a 1 1/2 length score over a compact field or 4 earning him a 69 speed rating to beat winners. He is the second foal out of a Sea The Stars mare who has a good but perhaps underachieving and abbreviated racing career. He was a non factor in a residency restricted stakes race last time out and he is taking a big swing here off of a 5 month layoff. Will need to show big improvement to make noise here. He is 10/1

9. Rove The Ball

Owner/Trainer:cjt

2 year old colt by I Am Invincible has a record of 1 win in 4 career starts with lifetime earnings of just over $50,000. His best career performance came in his career debut in a 5f open allowance where he sat in mid pack early and battled down the stretch to a 1/2 score over a field of 10 earning him a 72 speed rating for the win. He is the first foal out of a stakes winning and graded stakes placed mare by No Nay Never who herselfwas precocious as a 2 year old. He hasn’t hit the board in 3 stakes tries since breaking his maiden, including 2 graded tries in his last couple but he is clearly very talented and he has the right to run a big one here. His odds are 5/1

Surrey-ENG (SUR)Sunday, August 10, 2025 — 4:05:00 PM EST | Race ID : 3503607 0% Chance of Precipitation The Jimcrack Grade

[2

post-71646","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
