His last win was half a year ago in an allowance. From then on has run in Graded Company posting big speeds. Seems to be on a role in the last two races where he came second twice in a 114 and a 112.
Against him goes that he absolutely did not draw a topjockey which makes me think that the trainer forgot to choose one. S.Garber still has to win a race this year.

2 5C CARBON EXTRACTOR brandt 8/1 Elusive Quality x Spinning World x Summer Squall
Record: 24 races: 7-4-2

Out of retired mare IRONROOT TREEFOLK who sired already a stakeswinner, comes this graded winner. Posting nothing but +100 speeds in last seven races and winning a G2 in October he ran a restricted Delpenn Stakes end of December in which he became second at only half a length. He is definitely ready for this race and will be a very tough competitor. The most gorgeous trainer in the sim drew a jock who finished on the board in half of his races this year. Will be very dangerous in the stretch.

3 5C RAGSPOINT DEPUTY jrogue5 12/1 Dynaformer x Deputy Minister x Storm Bird
Record: 28 races: 7-3-4

This wellbred colt has been running in fine races but only won 1 stakes in his carreer. That was half a year ago where he finished in a very good 114 speed. Has been racing in graded company since then in which he only managed to finish on the board once. Goes into this race after three bad races in a row and does not seem to be in perfect form to take on the best.

4 5C MR. INCONSPICUOUS foxon4 9/1 Aptitude x Forty Niner x Nijinsky II
Record: 35 races: 11-8-7

Out of mare BRING ME JOY this 5y old colt definitely already brought a lot of joy for his trainer. Posting +100 speeds almost constantly for about a year of 2 and winner of two Graded Races of which one G1 on an offtrack. Has been running well lately but had a complete offday in his last race where he only put town a 97 speed finishing almost last. Let’s hope he gets his act together today with topjocky Givins in the saddle.

5 5C SHUHEI adrian5 9/1 Bach x Habitat x Halo
Record: 31 races: 16-5-6

Half a million in earnings, 31 races under his belt of which more than half in a winning position and never ran on dirt before. This colt is doing just fine. Hard to believe that his trainer entered him today only for the second time in a Graded Race: so this colt has been trained very gently. His first graded stakes was last year and he finished third while closing in very fast in the stretch. Strange that that was his only graded attempt. Won 3 out of his last 4 races and is definitely a potential winner.

6 5C BUSY QUICK youlostha 6/1 Distorted Humor x Storm Cat x Affirmed
Record: 23 races: 9-3-3

This 5y old colt from trainer Robscoobi is the cofavourite according to the bookies and very understandable why: has shown in his last races he can run a +110 speed easily which resulted in a G3 win two races back. Had been running a fair bit in maidens and allowances before stepping up but he definitely seems to belong to the horses that can be competitive in graded races.

7 4C CYBERGHOST broadbrush 17/1 Dansili x Alzao x Shernazar
Record: 15 races: 6-3-3

One of the younger colts in this lot and winner of 2 stakesraces. Never attempted graded races before but I think the 110 speedfigure last time was sufficient for trainer Snowchief to give it a try. That speed is definitely competitive to meet with the best in this race so let’s see what it gives. Good odds for a gamble.

8 4C DANISHA paceman2 26/1 Dansili x Theatrical x Kris S.
Record: 20 races: 6-4-1

Another colt out of Dansili, but not as competitive as Cyberghost. In the last 10 races he only gave about 3 good performances and that in light allowances. Had three attempts in graded races on turf and always finished at more than 10 lengths. I see no reason to believe that this will be different today. Does not belong in this race.

9 6C SOUNDSTAGE camotion 13/1 Mining x Stage Door Johnny x Coastal
Record: 41 races: 9-7-7

This 6y old colt took a while to mature and it was only in his 4th year that he started to improve sufficiently for another step up to Stakeslevel. He did not bad in his first attempts but he also did not well. Therefor his trainer stepped down to some allowanceraces again in which he constantly performed well. Three races ago his trainer even let him run two Graded races and both times he managed to finish on the board. Could it be he is up to the task now? His last race then was a disappointment: 93 speedfigure in a small allowance and many lengths behind. Difficult to tell what the day will bring for this colt.

10 5C KING OF CLOUT highbreed 11/1 Kingmambo x Dixieland Band x Seattle Slew
Record: 20 races: 4-6-1

Lightly raced 5y old with a pedigree that allows him to be retired as hemare once the time is there. But that time is definitely not there yet for him. In his last two races he managed to run a 110 speedfigure twice and his last run was a win over 9f. In my opinion this one can be the surprise of the day.

11 4C BOOM GATE thegeneral 15/1 Rainbow Quest x Theatrical x Danehill
Record: 17 races: 6-1-3

First foal of LYRIC THEATRE and immediately a graded winner (strange that the mare was not bred to last year). Actually this is a very fine runner but the graded win does not mean too much: that was in a 6 horsefield and at 3y of age. The step up to race against older horses is a big one and it is hard to tell whether he is up to the task or not. His one and only attempt against older horses was three races ago and despite a good speedfigure it was not sufficient. Comes into this race of a win in his second highest speedfigure so is in form. Tip for the trainer: might want to try and see how much further he can run. With that pedigree he might be even better going longer.

12 6C KRIS’S CAUSEWAY bosox 10/1 Giant’s Causeway x Kris S. x El Gran Senor
Record: 22 races: 4-7-2

Only started his carreer late as a 3y old and seems to have come to full maturity as a 5y old. Has been posting +100 speeds constantly last year and in his last race posted a carreer high placing himself in an 8f Stakes. This will be his third try in graded company after two previous races that not went according to plan. Might be up for it now.

13 7C TAKE CHARGE unionave 11/1 Broad Brush x Valid Appeal xDr. Fager
Record: 31 races: 11-3-6

Here we have the oldie of the lot. Started late as 2y old on dirt. Ran ok but not brilliant. Was switched to turf and ran better but still not brilliant. Has been running in allowances until last year at 6 when he suddenly started to stepup in his performances posting higher speeds. Won his first Stakes two starts ago and seems to have lot less experience despite of his big age. I think the odds are too high for him and he will have a difficult time in this full field of graded runners. He will definitely put in a decent performance but I do not see him finish on the board.

14 4C SARDINI punter41 9/1 Bernardini x Sadler’s Wells x Danzig
Record: 18 races: 7-3-2

On the outside we have the most dangerous 4y old of the lot who also drew a topjockey. Ran more on dirt as turf in his career and even won a G1 on dirt as a 2y old. His switch to turf was a very successful one and he managed to win 2 G2’s both on 8furlong. He has the ideal circumstances in this race and even has experience against older horses as a 3y old on the highest level . I think he will do just fine here today and is one of the few that can bring home this graded win.

[2

post-7149","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
