As I write this article , it is just a few hours away from the NFL Draft, the flowers are blooming, the trees are budding, and 2 year olds are beginning to hit the track at Keeneland and in graded stakes competition here in the sim. Hope reigns eternal at this time of ear and for the connections here, their hope is endless that they may have the next big star in racing running here. Let’s take a look at the field.

1.Cry Cry Cry Again

Owner:covid19

2 year old filly by Australia will be making her career debut in this one. She is out of a Kitten’s Joy x Street Cry x Montjeau mare who produced a filly by New Approach in her first crop who won her first two races and would go on to win a stakes race as a 3 year old. Her breeding suggests turf from top to bottom and her dam was 0 for 5 on dirt so this is an interesting and ambitious place to start her career but she is 4-1 on the morning line so the clockers must believe she us in good form.

2.Cambuzia

Owner:alibilane

2 year old filly by Cairo Prince is 1 for in her career with lifetime earnings of $6,000. Her lone start came in a 5f allowance hot race where she took the lead early and led every step of the way en route to a diminishing 1/4 length victory over a compact field of 4 earning her a 62 speed rating for the win. She is out of a Hard Spun x Candy Ride x Tiznow mare who has had a modest level of success producing claiming and allowance type runners. She has the benefit of race experience and has some early speed which should prove to be useful in this 4.5f dash. The oddsmaker has made her 9/1 on the morning line.

3. Narcos

Owner:gowans2020

2 year old stakes winning filly by Flightline is 1 for 1 in her career with lifetime earnings of $60,000. Her lone start was an impressive victory in a 5.5f residency restricted stakes race where she showed professionalism stalking the field from mid pack and closing to cruise home to a 2 1/2 victory over a field of 11 earning her a 73 speed rating. She is out of a Quality Road x Northern Afleet x Forestry mare won a stakes race as a 2 year old and a 3 year old and who has produced a stakes winner in 6 of her 7 crops including a Grade Two winner and a Grade One winner. Beautifully bred filly out of a successful family comes into the race as the lone stakes winner and she has been installed at 6/1 on the morning line.

4.Desert Girvin

Owner:amir1665

2 year old filly by Girvin will be making her career debut here. She is a scratch bred Girvin x Green Desert x Rahy which is a 5x cross to Mr. Prospector and 5x to Halo with a dosage index of 3.0 so she can Sprint or route in the future. Her back end leans turf in my opinion with Green Desert and Rahy so I would not be shocked to see her try the lawn at some point but her sire Girvin is a heavy dirt influence. She has a good early form indicator and she has been placed at 9/1 on the morning line

5. Sick Imagination

Owner:alysalley

2 year old Kantharos filly will be making her first career start here. She is out of a Speightstown x Wild Again x Cox’s Ridge mare who was a stakes winner and graded stakes placed in her career with much of her success in her 3 year old season who would go on to produce 3 stakes winners in 11 prior crops including a Grade Three winner. Kantharos is a sire who can produce a precocious type and the oddsmaker thinks highly of this filly placing her at 5/1 in her first start here.

6.Grithadras

Owner:alibilane5

2 year old filly by Girvin has a record of 1 win in 2 starts with lifetime earnings of $5,000. She won her debut race in a 5f maiden hot race where she closed from 3rd over 2 lengths back in a compact field of 4 rallied to win by 1 length earning her a 64 speed rating. She jumped into a residency restricted stakes going 5.5f last time out finishing 5th beaten 4 lengths in a field of 8 and nearly duplicating her debut speed rating with a 65. She is the full sister to a horse who won two graded stakes as a 2 year old and was rated the #1 dirt 2 year old at one point and who would also go on to win a Grade One at age 3. Otherwise her Zensational mare has not produced that level of runner and this filly does not seem to be the quality of her brother. She is the Longshot at 16/1 but she is the most experienced runner in the field.

7.Ministerofquality

Owner:teamasr4

2 year old filly by City Of Light is 1 for 1 in her career with lifetime earnings of over $30,000. Her lone start came in a 6f $52,600 allowance race where she came from last in a compact field of 4 and stormed home to win by 2 3/4 lengths earning her a best in field 76 speed rating. She is out of a stakes winning and graded stakes placed Tapit x Deputy Minister x Fappiano mare who would go on to produce 4 stakes winners in her first 9 crops. Her mare won her first two races as a 2 year old so this one has the breeding to be a win early type. Obviously talented filly is coming into this race in excellent form and I like the maturity she showed with the ability to rate and relax from off the pace in her first start. She has been installed as the 5/2 morning line favorite.

8.Baseball Legends.

Owner:ewckash2

2 year old filly by City Of Light is 1 for 1 in her career and she has lifetime earnings of $30,000. Her lone start came in a 5f $54,600 maiden allowance race where she showed the ability to settle, sitting in mid pack nearly 4 lengths off the leader and rallying to win by 1/2 length over a field of 9 earning her a 72 speed rating for the victory. She is out of a stakes placed Awesome Again x Giant’s Causeway x A.P Indy mare who won 5 of 21 in her career and who would go on to have modest success thus far in her first 5 seasons as a Broodmare. This is another filly who showed professionalism in her career debut and talent with an impressive speed rating. She is the 4/1 co-second choice on the morning line.

Arizona (AZ)Saturday, April 26, 2025 — 2:55:00 PM EST | Race ID : 3501808 Arizona Shoot-Out Special Grade III / Group

[2

post-70385","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
