It is a race that will travel a mile and three quarters also known as fourteen furlongs for fillies and mares three year olds and up on a good dirt course. The One Million Dollar Ladies Stayer Classic We have a full field of fourteen in here. Lets met the runners…..

Goldman Sachs is a four year old daughter of Ghostzapper out of a Seattle Slew mare this one is bred to love this distance and is the number three ranked dirt long runner. Her last two races were at two miles she will be shortening up to a mile and three quarters so we will see if it dampens her late kick. When going a mile and a half she was running closer to the pace and seems to have a nice versatile running style so she should not have a problem trip.

Next up is Less Than Kind a four year old filly by Sadler’s Wells out of an A.P. Indy mare. She was prepped in a listed stakes race at today’s distance and won going away by four. I only have one problem with that race she ran a best speed figure in there and she will need to run atleast that fast again to have a chance at winning. I think it might be asking to much for this one to repeat that effort.

Gals Gone West is a four year old filly by Saint Liam out of a Gone West mare. She will be coming from the three hole and take up her spot towards the back. She has been running at a mile and a half and will be trying this distance for the first time. She has had some time to recover from the clunker she threw in on the Breeder’s Bowl undercard and will look to bounce back to her runs that were in the 100 range on a very consistent basis. Take a look for the trifecta.

The next runner is Greystone Chapel a three year old filly by Empire Maker out of an Alydar mare is the number six ranked in a dirt long route. She has come in second in her last two runs and looks to take the win here. She ran 107 and 106 and seems like she is only getting better and this distance should be right where she wants it. I would not be surprised if she ran a huge number. The reason for the inprovement might be the new running style or distance back went form four lengths to six to ten back. Have to give this one a look.

Full Measure is a five year old mare by Polish Precedent out of a Vaguely Noble mare she is nine to one on the line as the number one ranked dirt long route mare. This distance might be to short but she ran a 108sf last out at this distance she finished fourth by 4. She had been running two miles and doing it well. I will look at this runner on the track and make the judgment if she looks ready to run or if I should pass but how many times do you get this kind of price on a runner like this.

Breaking from the six hole is K’s Kuriara a Awesome Again four year old filly who will be on the lead in this and play the try and catch me game with this field. She prepped in a listed stakes race an finished third with a 102sf. She was winning at this distance a few starts ago and will look to do the same in this one. She is a nice price at eight to one on the line.

From post seven comes a four year old filly by Touch Gold out of a Kingmambo mare A.P Princess. She comes into this off a third place finish in a mile and three eighths event and looks to not want this distance but she had ran a nice 101sf in a event at this distance earlier in the year. I will be passing on this runner.

Tough as Steel a four year old daughter of Ghostzapper out of a Seattle Slew mare has been running triple digit figures for a while and looks to take those numbers further in this race. She has been running at a mile and a quarter for her recent starts and will see if she can get the extra half mile. I would look for this runner in the stretch and hope your horse can beat her to the wire.

Lost Witness is a five year old mare by Royal Academy out of an El Prado mare. She comes into this off of a nice listed stakes win at a mile and five eighths as long as she was only doing what she needed to do to win she has a chance but if she ran as fast as she could it could be to slow to catch this field. I will watch to see how the jockey feels about this mount and see how she warms up before I make a bet on this one.

Breaking from post ten is Mt. Nashua a five year old daughter of Mt. Livermore out of a chief’s crown mare. She likes to have the lead or be close to it she ran wire to wire in her most recent start at todays distance. She sat just off the pace in her last race which was at two miles to score by four. I will bet this horse to win and place with the line set at fifteen to one. She always runs her race and seems to like the good dirt so we will hope for a good run.

Just Dynamite a four year old daughter of Dynaformer out of a Deputy Minister mare comes into this off a nice win in a listed stakes event and will look to repeat that race here today. She ran a 102sf and has won both her preps for this race. I can see her sitting in fourth or fifth and try and get the lead by the time they get to the stretch. I think she might be able to close for the show spot.

Post twelve belongs to a five year old daughter of Pleasantly Perfect, Frozen Four. She is an eight to one shot that I will not be betting. She has fourteen wins from forty starts I think she is on the downhill side of her racing days. She has hit triple digits this year but not at this distance. She would be worth a bet at higher odds but not at this short of a price.

K’s Araku is a six year old daughter of Sadler’s Wells out of a Nijinsky II mare. She comes into this off a third place finish. She won her last start at today’s distance by four and is a grade one winner going two miles. She should be towards the front early and hanging around late as well.

The last entrant in this race breaking from the outside is Rome. She is a three year old daughter of Dubawi out of a Theatrical mare. She is the winner of the Child Focus and has been running in shorter races. She will need to get her late run going to win this one. She will be the last to move and might have enough to get to the winners.

This is going to be a good race with action up front and action late as well. We will be waiting in the Winner’s Circle to see who had what it took to win.

[2

post-7036","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
