He has been very lightly raced over the past 12mths, having just had the 7 starts and scoring a win on 2 occassions. He was a very fast winner last time out at 8f and I dont think the drop back to 7.5f will harm his chances. I have a slight query on his ability at stakes level, he most recent attempt yielded a 4th over 6.5f in Japan and this race is no easier. A chance.

2- Nureyera 7-1; This son of Grandera from the dixieracer yard is coming into this off a last start win at ALW level in average time. That run followed a stakes placing at this distance- a trip he has enjoyed for the majority of his career. He has the ability on his day, I just think there are a few others that are better prepared for this given this horses extensive workload over the past 3 runs, where he has come off a 2 week back up each time. Distance specialist though who does command some respect.

3-Noir Sin 6-1; This son of Sindaar is coming off a stakes win at this distance 4 weeks ago where he really turned around some indifferent ALW form. Was it the wet track that brought out the best in him? – I tend to think it might have been as that was his first win for almost a year. Im prepared to risk him here, but he is in form and has the services of C.Byrne who is riding well.

4- Puppeteer 16-1; Highly rated 4yo that has won 8 of 28, but is he a light of other days? – On paper you’d have to say yes. His last 3 efforts have been among the worst of his otherwise impressive career, and even though he is at good odds, I cant entertain him here.

5-Gotta Dance 8-1; This 6yo son of Capote was plucked out of claiming grade only 7 runs ago and has already rewarded his new owners with a Stakes win; at this distance no less. His form either side of that win has been dreadful, and he’d really need to run up to his best to be a hope here

6- Super Light 8-1; What do you say about this bloke? Yes he is eligible for much much easier events than this given he is still only a winner of 2 MCOS races, but his recent form in this grade cant be faulted. I have a slight reservation about him at 7.5f in this class; his best recent form has been at 6f and 6.5f. If he runs the trip out he will be in the finish.

7- He’s Crafty 12-1; This horse bounced back to form with a win in easier grade last time out and he is a pretty hard horse to rate for mine here. Didnt get the 10f 2 runs ago, and possibly just wasn’t up to G1 class 3 back. He ran 3rd in a 4.5f G3 the start before that, but the 2 prior runs were awful. He can go around without me here, but if he won – I wouldnt be suprised.

8- Nearctic Storm 30-1; There are easier races for him, and I’d suggest a drop back to claiming grade would be beneficial.

9- Neuschwanstein 11-1; Filly taking on the males here, and yet another runner that comes off a last start stakes win. That was her first win since winning a G3 race earlier this year against her own sex. It takes an exceptional filly to be able to beat the males at this level and Im not sure this one is of that calibre.

10- Skyjacker 7-1; Another filly taking on the males. This is a massive jump in grade from the calibre of horses she has been meeting recently, and despite her form being very consistant I cant rate her a winning chance here. May be better suited on a wet track.

11- Lanquid Vice 5-1; The favourite for the event is a 9yo son of Unbridled. He ran second at G2 level 3 runs back, but his subsequent form has been below par. Im prepared to risk him here and say that he will find a few too slick.

12- Fast Talker 9-1; This colt has been in and out of form recently which makes him hard to judge here. If he runs up to his effort 3 back – he will win it, but his form since is dreadful. I’m going to take the odds to him bouncing back to form here at 9-1.

[2

post-6924","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
