New South Wales-<\/B>It should be a beautiful day Down Under when thirteen three year old colts meet to race in the $350,000, Grade II, Early Month Stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Coolerk\u2019s <\/I>New Storm <\/B>is the 4-1 early morning favorite of this ten furlong turf affair, but I have a feeling that an upset is going to happen.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>As always, for your pari-mutuel enjoyment, Official Hong Kong Track Handicapper, Pete \u2018The Hatchet\u2019 Wang will break down each horse and attempt to find a nugget of gold amongst the silt.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP1, Noia\u2019s <\/I>Red Loop<\/st1:place><\/B>(21-1, Phillips).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cWe are starting to run out of big three year old only stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Many of the leading colts are skipping these kinds of races to see how they will fair against their elder brethren.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This race features two top twenty colts and the rest are looking to establish their credentials.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Most of these colts do not have much experience at today\u2019s distance so much of our analysis is guesswork.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In my initial examination of the past performances I was surprised by the lack of early speed in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That void could encourage some strange racing results.<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

Now Red Loop is an interesting colt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A son of Red Ransom, he\u2019s cutting back in distance after racing competitively at the eleven and twelve furlong distances.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has a pair of stakes wins, including a 96 speed rating when he won the 9.5 furlong Pine Ransom Stakes over this course.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In general, Red Loop\u2019s best times are not competitive with the best in the field, but ten furlongs could be this stalker\u2019s best distance and we could see a huge speed rating increase.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s raced well at 9.5 furlongs, and he\u2019s never raced at ten furlongs before, but his pedigree suggests that he might enjoy that distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Even though he is being ridden by a 5% jockey, I\u2019m going to include him in my exotics by using him underneath.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP2, Dinomite\u2019s <\/I>Go For Bull<\/B>(12-1, Disher).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cGo For Bull is six of eighteen in his career, but the son of Holy Bull has been struggling as of late.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In week 2461 he won a 9.5 furlong stake with a 99 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Since that race, he really hasn\u2019t raced back to that level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Perhaps 9.5 is his optimum distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s a very nice colt at that particular distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s raced ten furlongs in two of his last three races and really hasn\u2019t fired.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His first ten furlong race was over a good track that saw him finish second versus a field of five.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In that race he missed by a head and had a 95 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His last try at ten furlongs came in the G1 Big Red stakes and in that race he finished 10th<\/SUP> with a speed rating of 90.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I think 100+ speed rating wins this race and Go For Bull hasn\u2019t yet demonstrated that he can put up that kind of number at the distance.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP3, Highfive\u2019s <\/I>Colorado Force<\/B>(13-1, Kirkland<\/st1:City><\/st1:place>).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cThis son of Royal<\/st1:PlaceName> Academy<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> is five for eleven in his career and has earned over $232,000.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In his last start he won the Grade II Choo Choo at twelve furlongs with a 100 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the race prior to that race he won a nine furlong stake with a 100 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I think we could see a big speed number out of this stalker who shoots for fourth consecutive win.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m using him as my Tsing Tao longshot and I\u2019m betting him on top and underneath in my exotics wager.\u201d<\/P>

PP4, Sherwood\u2019s <\/I>Redsadky<\/B>(8-1, Bangs).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cI believe that this is the colt to beat.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Redsadky has won four of his first five races and is already rated 19th<\/SUP> in the Division.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He tasted defeat in his last race, the ten furlong, G1 Big Red Stakes when he finished a game second with a 105 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This son of Red Ransom is just learning the game and should improve even more in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Even though he has never grabbed an early lead, you might see him do so in this race and try to win from gate to wire fashion.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Best lifetime speed rating is a 109 which is the second best in the field.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m using him on top in my wagers.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP5, Fab19\u2019s <\/I>Sky Turn To Black<\/B>(7-1, Ridenour).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cStalking Son of Sky Mesa boasts a 106 speed rating back in week 2440 when he won a 9.5 furlong stake in South Dakota<\/st1:State><\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Has two wins since that big effort, but his speed ratings have remained constant at around 100.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Never raced ten furlongs before so new distance could spark a new top speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>More distance could be just what he\u2019s looking for.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019ll include underneath in my exotics.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP6, Bagpuss\u2019 <\/I>American Quest<\/B>(5-1, Walker<\/st1:City><\/st1:place>).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cSon of Coronado<\/st1:City><\/st1:place>\u2019s Quest is a consistent performer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>When racing nine furlongs his speed rating is always between 100 and 107.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has never attempted ten furlongs, but his breeding suggests he could really enjoy the distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Lifetime this stalker is five of twelve and has earned over $180,000.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This race is his graded debut.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A horse to include if you can afford to do so.\u201d<\/P>

PP7, Dowelly\u2019s <\/I>Classic Dowelly<\/B>(14-1, Fontain).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cClassic Dowelly is the son of sim great Amanda Jane<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>8th<\/SUP> ranked Classic Dowelly had a bang up two year old season, but has struggled as a three year old, only winning one time as a sophomore.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>New longer distance may spark a revival of good fortune.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Top jockey aboard.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP8, Bobo\u2019s <\/I>Keplar Of Rock(Ire)<\/B>(8-1, Baxter).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cThe hottest colt in the field is looking for his sixth consecutive score.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>During this streak he did have a ten furlong win in an allowance race, however his speed rating in that race was only a 93.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He won that race by over 7 lengths so I believe he is capable of putting up a 100+ speed rating at this distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This stake winner does have some graded experience as in week 2468 he ran in the 12 furlong G1 Sydney Derby and was fifth.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Overall he is ten of sixteen and has earned over $289,000.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Use him under, though a win by him would not shock me.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP9, Husky\u2019s <\/I>Savage Frontier<\/B>(10-1, Clark<\/st1:place>).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cSon of Esperero won his last start, a twelve furlong Grade III.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Prior to that win, Husky had Savage Frontier make five consecutive dirt wins that saw one third place finish.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last start\u2019s win marked the first time that Savage Frontier had won when routing.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A very nice bargain bred that shows some nice versatility both to distance and surface (as he did have a 102 on the dirt).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I do not know if he can win this race, but based on his last race, I think long distance races, on either surface, will be exciting prospects for his connections.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Use him under.\u201d<\/P>

PP10, Sksutton\u2019s <\/I>Wells Of Endurance<\/B>(20-1, Perkins).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cSon of Sadler\u2019s Wells might be the early speed and lone speed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Cuts back in distance and does have a win at the distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Might be able to control the pace and steal the race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We have seen stranger things happen.\u201d<\/P>

PP11, Laq\u2019s <\/I>Cycle Like Bayley<\/B>(14-1, Butcha).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cSon of Broad Brush makes his second turf try.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He was unplaced in his prior attempt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Cycle does have some success on the dirt with a pair of 11 furlong stake triumphs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tough spot to break your turf maiden.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP12, Lenny271\u2019s <\/I>Beyer Beware<\/B>(8-1, Beckistan).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cDeep closing son of Dayjur has raced pretty well in his last three starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In his last race he won a nine furlong stake with a 105 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the race prior to that race he was a game third in the DelPenn Gr Simsters Smack Down.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Never tried the distance, but I can\u2019t see were he wouldn\u2019t be successful racing at it.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Use under.\u201d<\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

PP13, Coolerk\u2019s <\/I>New Storm<\/B>(4-1, Berger).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u201cThe favorite is a son of Storm Cat out of a Nureyev mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In his last race he was 5th<\/SUP> in the Big Red with a 100 speed rating.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019d like his chances much better if conditions were off.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In his life, he\u2019s won four races and three of those wins came when he raced over \u2018off\u2019 tracks.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A monster when it\u2019s wet he is much more ordinary on firm turf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Wait for that good deluge and bet him with both hands!\u201d<\/P>
