Things continue to go south at the sale barn with only a few bright spots.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>All three of the horses that sold for over a million dollars did go to a new home and of the 19 senior citizens sold this week; seven went for over a dollar.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jasonpatt<\/I><\/B> sold off his stable and the horses looked fat if not exactly fit, since most of them haven’t raced in well over a year.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The two highest priced old guys were both sold by Jasonpatt and TM Opera O<\/B> #59723 was one of them, a 10 YO stallion.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He was stake’s placed in 2004 and has won four times in 35 starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Doublepay<\/I><\/B> paid $500,000 for this grand looking horse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Also bringing a good price for Jasonpatt was #1411 Prosper Ruler<\/B> who sold for $95,000 and went to Hellum<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has won 11 of 53 starts and was stakes placed 18 months ago.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The OMOTM series better watch out!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Thunderous Might<\/SPAN><\/B> # 54494 screamed his way into the ring and made everyone realize where he got his name.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Lenny13<\/I><\/B> was hard put to manage the 3 YO dark bay colt by Montjeu out of an Awesome Again mare, as he whirled and spun his way around the ring.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is lightly raced with only 10 starts and while he has only one win he has never been worse than 5th<\/SUP>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He comes with a high speed figure of 98 and should improve with age.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Thunderous Might<\/B> brought the hammer down at a final bid of $1,500,001.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Scotty<\/I><\/B> will be the new trainer of record on this big colt.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Babygirlz<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B> sold Texasace<\/I><\/B> a 5 YO chestnut horse for the nice price of $1,260,003.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dreaming Eyes<\/B> #100221 is by Black Sam Belemy and out of a Law Society mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is the winner of 10 of his 35 starts and seven of his last eight.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>All of his starts have been at the same track and with the same rider so if you want to continue his winning ways, <\/SPAN>Wayne<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, don’t be changing anything!<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The final horse in the weekly millionaires club was an unraced 2 YO colt by Skip Away out of a Mtoto mare named Skip Diplomacy<\/B> # 167547.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A handsome grey, he was quite regal looking when he walked in the ring and turned more than a few heads.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bigj<\/I><\/B> signed the ticket for an even one million dollars and if this looker can run half as good as he looked Bigj should be happy.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dare2dream<\/I><\/B> consigned the colt.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Oh the rain!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The plane from sunny <\/SPAN>Arizona<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> made it in to <\/SPAN>Kentucky<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> on time but skidded down the runway throwing sheets of water everywhere and scaring most of us passengers to death.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Thank goodness with the new baggage rules as I didn’t have to collect anything and made my way right to the taxi stand where I caught a good one and was at the sales barn in record time.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It was only a short distance from the sidewalk to the barn but I managed to get drenched doing it and walked in looking rather bedraggled.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Inside, however, it was nice and warm and even though I wished I could shake myself like a dog – I didn’t – I just stood there with water in my shoes and plastered down hair and started peeling off my water logged coat and putting away that miserable excuse for an umbrella, I grabbed a Pepsi at the bar and went to dry out at my table in front of Genebaum’s<\/I><\/B> fire place. \u00a0<\/SPAN>HA!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>There sure were a lot of people next to that old fireplace and they were nice enough to make room for me at my own table.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I greeted everyone – Sanete, Stereogram, Unshaded, Ohstable<\/I><\/B> and Bigbetta <\/I><\/B>to name a few, as I seated myself and looked around.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Smokers<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B> was over in the corner with Frostytom<\/I><\/B> and they were looking at Madhouse<\/I><\/B> like he was crazy.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Must have been the horse he was bidding on.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bagpuss<\/I><\/B> and Ragman<\/I><\/B> stopped by for a short visit.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I sure wish Bagpuss would come back to the BTB.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She’s such a good writer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Anniebarn<\/I><\/B> said hello and then wandered off to where Clearcreek<\/I><\/B> was meeting with Ocean<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Clide, Markie <\/I><\/B>and that good looking Irishman, Mrmurphy<\/I><\/B> stopped by for a short visit along with Aircanada<\/I><\/B> who announced a short flight was in his future plans.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

I noticed that according to the catalog several of the big barns were active.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Tsuanami<\/I><\/B> was everywhere, busy both buying and selling.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Testcase, Fatattack, Rock<\/I><\/B> and Dixiedotco<\/I><\/B> were all selling two year-olds.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sabbath<\/I><\/B> and his brother Stephanus<\/I><\/B> were down on the rail and Kaif, Stoners<\/I><\/B> and Camry<\/I><\/B> were also active in the two year-old market.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>After all the advertising he did, I hope that The Bear<\/I><\/B> group did well.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That man is the Steve Assmussen of the Sim world with his 75 + stables.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Speaking of lots and lots of stables\u2026. I wonder what ever happened to Manni<\/I><\/B>.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
