Auction 3542<\/SPAN><\/B> – This week’s auction saw mixed results and continues to follow the wild ride of the stock market.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Some areas were up and some were down.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>There were only four horses that went for over a million dollars compared with 14 last week.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Twenty seven senior citizens were offered but only five of the eight and up horses sold for more than a dollar.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The top price was paid for hip # 37941, an 8 YO stallion named Onion Ways<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Jhenry<\/I><\/B> paid $12,500.00 for this grand looking old guy. \u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>Here are this week’s auction stats.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

License To Steal<\/SPAN><\/B> was the sale topper this week making consignor Lenny2,<\/I><\/B> $5,200,101.00 richer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Some of the elite bad boys from DelPenn, Arse2007<\/I><\/B> hardly noticed the withdrawal from their bank account.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The 4 YO, plain brown filly, has won five of her 22 starts and has run in the money 14 times.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is a stake’s winner but that was her last win and that was almost a year ago.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>License to Steal, hip # 132046, is a royally bred filly, by Mineshaft out of the Storm Cat mare Flanders Pride who has been a better broodmare than she ever was a racehorse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Flanders Pride, a winner of two races, is the dam of three foals to race and all three are winners, two of them stakes winners.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Reserve status went to #168979, a 3 YO dark bay or brown colt named Nationwide<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He brought a bid of $1,500,001.00 and is by Bernardini out of a Kingmambo mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Although he is still a maiden he has shown some nice early speed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Nationwide is still very green and new owner\/trainer Pigeon9<\/I><\/B> will try and get him to relax and finish up better.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Chilimac<\/I><\/B> consigned this nice colt.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Fairhaven2<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B> sold Ends In Ski<\/B>, hip number #27050, to Kissnsocal<\/I><\/B> for $1,100,001. \u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>Ends In Ski is a big, 5 YO chestnut horse by Numerous out of a Polish Numbers mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has won 10 of his 28 starts including the Grade II Warsaw Sprint<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He also finished second in the Grade I<\/I> Because I Said So Stakes<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He will hopefully find that spark again before the wear and tear factor sets in.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Also selling for $1,000,001.00 was maybe the buy of the day and it was Babygirlz<\/B> (a division of the Winnette group) that led him away.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dreaming Eyes<\/B> is a typy, copper chestnut, 5 YO horse by Black Sam Belamy out of a Law Society mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has won 10 of his 35 starts and although he started life off as a sprinter he soon found himself in claiming races and could have been had for as little as $4,000 at one point.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He was finally haltered last December for $15,000 by consigner Ottohaack<\/I><\/B> who promptly stretched him out and the horse loved it.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This solid marathoner has not finished worse than second this past year winning his last five in a row and nine of his last 11 starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Ottohaack<\/I><\/B> thought it was time to let someone else have some fun with him. \u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>Pretty darn nice!\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

After being late last week I thought I ought to get there early this week and I did and of course,\u00a0 <\/SPAN>with not a lot to do before show time, I couldn’t stay away from the barn area.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I ended up walking away with two new horses that I really didn’t need\u2026.but there is just something about a horse sale.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Leaving the barn area, I returned to the sales barn and I noticed there was lots of action ring side. \u00a0<\/SPAN>I quickly got a Pepsi, nodded to Roscoe<\/I><\/B> who was Davesgir<\/I><\/B>l and Steff<\/I><\/B> who was shooting a game of pool with Jake, Danz<\/I><\/B> and Dylanthoma<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I made it down to the ring in plenty of time, even stopping for a short visit with Dumbblonde<\/I><\/B> who was talking with Nappyroots<\/I><\/B> about Antssammy<\/I><\/B> and Thekids<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

I finally got close enough to see what was going on over Pastyear<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Rollsally<\/I><\/B> and Goofball <\/I><\/B>had the Travelocity gnome and were passing it amongst <\/SPAN>Brighton<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place>, Fritztown, <\/SPAN><\/I><\/B>Kabul<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and Mnneapolis<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I guess they were thinking about taking a vacation and couldn’t decide where to go.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Everyone was putting in their two cents as to the best place.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Personally, I voted for Mnneapolis<\/I><\/B> as we have a cottage about 150 miles northwest of there and it is really a nice place to visit – in the summer.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

I had a nice chat with Lenny<\/I><\/B> who was selling a lot of horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was beginning to think he had a gambling problem as he is always selling something.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>But no, he just has very little patience and breeds a lot of horses, more than he can possibly run.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I guess I will have to hit him up for a few next time the Nag<\/I><\/B> stable needs some stock. \u00a0<\/SPAN>Well, that’s it for this week.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
