Welcome to Victoria for the running of <\/SPAN>The Wombat Cup <\/B><\/SPAN><\/A>Stakes <\/B>Two miles Firm Turf $75,000 All horses, 3 years old and up for the bargain bred runners. As always these races are bought to us by the man himself Knightmare who gave me the passion to get involved in bargain bred racing he thanklessly brings us these races yearly and I for one love to try to beat the odds and breed that horse under 100bp to try to get an elusive bargain champion. A field of eight go to the wire here to try to get that ultimate distance of 2 miles. As mentioned earlier I love bargain racing and 4 of the runners are from my stables but im not holding my breath waiting for one of mine to win.<\/P>

HAWKZ IRISH RACING <\/B><\/I>trained runner by <\/SPAN>HAWKER’S NEWS (IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>LUCKY ROBERTO<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>VICTORIA PARK<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>at least he runs the odd good 2 miles as long as they don\u2019t go tom fast. I really liked his sire well how couldn\u2019t I with a name like that but I also like his breeding and thought he would make good long distant turf sire and he has shown this in his runners. He now stands in France this horse has had 20 starts foe 2 wins some a win here would be a great surprise but as they say if your not in you cant win. <\/P>

KY HORSEMEN STABLES <\/B><\/I>train this 6yrold mare by <\/SPAN>KADEED(IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>ALMAARAD(IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>BOLD EXECUTIVE<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>a nice mare bred to race over ground especially with the <\/SPAN>ELA-MANA-MOU(IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> in her dam sires pedigree she has raced 29 times for 4 wins and 11 placings. A lot of her for is between 9 and 12 f and has in fact only ever raced over 16f once in her 1st<\/SUP> start and she ran 3rd<\/SUP> . She has raced in a lot of the bargain series races mostly against the mares for a couple of placings she is yet to win one. As the favourite she has not won a race in two years and gives the other trainers hope that they can win the race. Never far away she is a great chance of at least gaining a place and has run a few races in the 90sp range.<\/P>

Hawkz Prosportz Stables <\/B><\/I>brings us this 4yrold by <\/SPAN>STADLER (IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>ALZAO<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>TOUCHING WOOD<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>like a lot of these runners this one is by a <\/SPAN>SADLER’S WELLS<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> sire who had pretty good success for a cheap sire 11bp in fact and if your looking for a cheap DS for your next bargain runner he has had good success in that department to. This fellow has had 19runs for 2 wins and 8 placings a genuine allowance runner who has not run 2 miles very often but did run 3rd<\/SUP> once over 16f. Looking at his form it looks like this distance will be to far but against bargain bred runners he may hold on here\u2019s hoping.<\/P>

Lgbost Stables <\/B><\/I>trains this 5yrold mare by <\/SPAN>KRIS KIN<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>KAHYASI(IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>TARGOWICE<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>she has won 6 races so far and to me looks the one to beat here. She has performed well in the longer races but it is around 9-11f that she has done best her sps have been high in the 90s . If she can see out the 2miles she must be hard to beat. Running on at the wend of 14f races suggest she could finish over the top of them in stretch. Ran good race in the Bargain ARC <\/B>she is by a relatively <\/B>young sire who has left two graded winners as well as stakes winners. And may well be worth looking at when getting a distance bargain sire.<\/P>

Hawkz Racing Stables <\/B><\/I>trains this 5yrold by <\/SPAN>HAWKER’S NEWS (IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>QUEST FOR FAME(GB)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>ASSERT(IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>has won 3 from 23 and stopped badly at the end of the ARC<\/B> he has never raced beyond 12f and didn\u2019t like that much not holding out to much hope for him in this 2 mile race. By <\/SPAN>HAWKER’S NEWS (IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> as well he has his limits at the longer distance. Has run some fast times but at shorter distances. <\/P>

Picko Stables <\/B><\/I>trained 3yrold by <\/SPAN>CASEY TIBBS (IRE)<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>REPRICED<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> x <\/B><\/SPAN>BIEN BIEN<\/B><\/SPAN><\/A> <\/B>who has only raced 4 times for 2 wins and 2 placings. His last two races have produced 91sps and if he goes the 2 miles maybe the young upstart who takes out the older horses its really hard to get a line on him although he ran away at the end of his last race. Some of the strongest distance sires are in his pedigree and that will stand by him here.<\/P>

She has raced over 16f 7 times for 3 wins and 2 placings and this shows she looks the winner of this what beats her wins this race and the 4\/1 on offer is good money. Her sire has a 50% winners to starters record but is now only available as a ds and dds now. Her dam sire has proved a good one for bargain breeders looking for a DANZIG <\/B>line sire.<\/P>

Failed badly in this race last year and will probably struggle again as the outsider of the field. A runners chance at best in this field<\/P>
