Welcome back to Queensland, the heart of racing and yet another great day at the track. Today we have as the Stakes #10 race, the Big Dog Bonanza over 7 furlongs for the up and coming 2yo’s.\u00a0 Standard purse of $50,000 means there is some good money on offer.\u00a0 Field of only 7 but they should provide some classy racing and certainly the punters are out there looking for the big one which will let them catch the limousine home in style.\u00a0 Lets see who that one winner might be who will give you that:<\/P>
Owner: lodog20 Trained by the Graywolf6 Stables from the local Queensland track, Round Wolf(AUS) is out of King of Happiness x Lycius x Round Table. Is coming off a good win on an off track over 8 furlongs in what was his maiden win after a run of good placings all over 6.5 furlongs or less.\u00a0 This will be more challenging but the distance looks good for him.\u00a0 Time to step up to the next level now. Owner: uask4it All class this one with 3 wins to his name. Out of Azamour(IRE) x King of Kings(IRE) x Grand Slam debuted his career with 3 straight wins over 6 furlongs including a Stakes win over 6.5 furlongs.\u00a0 Since then has run third place in the Nijinsky Hill Memorial Stakes over 6.5 furlongs again and a second place finish in the G3 Tiny Toes Stakes over 8 furlongs with an impressive speed of 87.\u00a0 Failed last time out at G1 level finishing a very disappointing 12th place.\u00a0 Still looks the goods here after dropping back to Stakes level.\u00a0 Certainly should be challenging. Owner: canisminor The Steelman out of Teofilo x A.P.Indy x Rainbow Quest is the favourite of the race and trained by local Queensland trainer in canisminor from the NextBonus racing stables.\u00a0 Only the one run and that was for a win over 7 furlongs in a Maiden but with a debut speed of 84.\u00a0 Finished strongly running away at the end.\u00a0 Reproduce that and will be at the pointy end of this race.\u00a0 Very good chance.\u00a0\u00a0 Owner: meguire Coming off his maiden win out of Hurrican Run(IRE) x Polish Precedent x Gone West.\u00a0 Has been trialled on teh dirt with a couple of good runs but is putting it together now on the turf tracks.\u00a0 Run exclusively at maiden level is coming straight from his maiden win to Stakes level.\u00a0 Stepped up last time out on speed and will need to step up again here.\u00a0 May find this harder. Owner: qnslander1 Yet another local trainer in qnslander1 from the Hawkz Racing Inc., is the Players Chamion(TX) out of Sawgrass x Danzero(AUS) x Somethingfabulous.\u00a0 Only the two outings with his first run being his debut win over 5 furlongs and a speed of 76.\u00a0 Last timeout was marginally faster with 79 over 6 furlongs in the Allowance restricted Silver Boot.\u00a0 Is looking like he is wanting more distance and this may well suit him over 7 furlongs.\u00a0 Stakes race as well so will have to show if he is capable here.\u00a0 I think he is and at 9\/1 odds is very good value for your money.\u00a0 Should be pressuring at the end. Owner: lazysranch Top qld jockey on board in C Wyatt on this well named horse.\u00a0 Amnesia sufferies lose parts of their memory so I like the name here.\u00a0 Out of Spinning World x Aptitude x Rahy has the 6 runs for 1 win and a second place finish. Is looking like he is wanting much more distance than what he has been running including his last run over 7.5 furlongs.\u00a0 I dont think this race is long enough for him and may well be only starting his run when he crosses the line.\u00a0 Id be keen to see how he goes over 8 furlongs and beyond. Owner: tihsho Another well named horse – I certainly wont forget this one.\u00a0 After an unsuccessful debut on dirt, the trainer in tihsho swapped him over to turf with immediate success.\u00a0 Two first up wins on the turf in a Maiden over 5.5 furlongs and then in an Allowance over 6 furlongs.\u00a0 Last time out he couldnt perform in the G3 Omnipotent Juvenile over 7.5 furlongs finishing a fading eighth place.\u00a0 Which with only 8 runners is also last place. I think the distance will trouble him here.\u00a0 <\/P> 3 THE STEELMAN(IRE)<\/STRONG> – I cant go past this one. Only the 1 run but if he reproduces that or or better should be able to take this.<\/P> 2 AZ A ROYALTY(IRE)<\/STRONG> – Based on his experience at Group level should be able to handle this one. Will be disappointing if he doesnt place today.\u00a0 Second in my book.<\/P> 5 PLAYERS CHAMPION(TX)<\/STRONG> – Another one who I think will enjoy the extra distance.\u00a0 Should be there you would think at the end.
