A very experienced and competitive field of 7 runners are set to battle, when they enter the gate here Saturday, in the 12th running of the $50,000 KENBAR RIVER Stakes. This race is for 3 yr. olds and up will be contested over a mile and 3\/8ths on the Turf Course, and is carded as the 10th race on the program. We expect a large crowd to be on hand Saturday. This mare who is racing against the boys. Not my favorite angle. The jockey is very experienced but not a great record. But she is a very hard knocking mare, you can\u2019t complain with her win percentage. She made the lead in her last start but faded to 3rd<\/SUP> in the last furlong. Shortens up alil but is she good enough? Will be very close to the pace.

A very nice race horse that I would love to own. But he looks alil overmatched in this spot. Jockey is a young and upcoming superstar. New trainer lesonaka just got this 6 yr. old for his last start. Hoping he likes the turf here in Ohio better than he did the wyoming grass. I will pass on this one.

This big brown 6 yr old horse is coming off a win in an allowance race. A very consistent type. Running in the high 90’s his last 7 starts. Jockey M. Robertson may take this one right to the front because of lack of pace in the race. Not\u00a0this horses favorite running style.

This 5 yr old horse is coming in from 2 dismal efforts. He has the class and sp# numbers to be right there if he can find his best. Jockey B. Clayton is not having a very good year though. Another closer in a race short on speed. I just can\u2019t see a turnaround so I will pass on this one.

This favorite is coming off a big win in his last. Young superstar L. Ingersoll gets the nod for the ride. This 4 yr. Old colt will be sitting right off the pace and should get a perfect trip. But in my humble opinion this colt likes the dirt much better than the turf. Which makes this race a very good betting race. I really like this colt but I just can\u2019t see him winning.
POST #7 – SADDLE KING
KINGMAMBO x SADLER\u2019S WELLS x MILL REEF

ODDS: 4-1
Coming in off a huge effort in his last. Jockey L. Gordon is not having his best year but is a very consistent type. This 5 yr old chestnut colt is just another closer in a race with no speed. But looks to be in his best shape of his young career. A huge player in this race.
Race review: In a race without speed, this should be a jockey\u2019s race. With that in mind I have to take our leading jockey here on top. I see SIDERUES NINCIUS sitting very close to the slow pace and drawing off in the final furlong. SADDLE KING closing with a furious effort that will be come up just short. And the favorite KY bred TURKO\u2019S GOLD hanging on for 3rd<\/SUP>. With the mare OTTO PLATINUM getting a minor check.
