Welcome to the Buckeye Juvenile where the field is deep and the purse is too.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We have a couple of colts going that have yet to finish out of the money.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Even still there are others in the field that have yet to win or even race beyond the maiden level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Let\u2019s meet the horses and trainers that will compete for The Buckeye Juvenile.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

1)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Essence Of What<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 28\/1 \u2013 summit1<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt comes in with the longest odds for a couple of reasons.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Although he does have a stakes win under his belt, he has yet to run a speed better than 80.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out he faded late in a 6 furlong race which is the farthest distance he has been tried on.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This colt has plenty of good things to come but, I expect him to be outmatched by this deep field.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

2)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Bridled Dancer<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 5\/1 \u2013 russ<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

Last time out Bridled Dancer<\/B> came out the winner of the G1 Horsehead Juvenile.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is the only horse in the field to have already won a graded race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This colt can\u2019t seem to run far enough.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This is his longest distance yet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the last race he was still pulling away from the field at the end of 7 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He draws jockey M. Grunhard with a 26 win percentage.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is clear to see why the odds makers like this horse and well deserves the tag as favorite to win.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

3)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Try The Theatre<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 8\/1 \u2013 pauldmd<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt gains momentum and closes on the lead as long as the race goes on.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This is good news for pauldmd<\/I> as this is his longest distance yet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His last time out he raced in SMACKDOWN and posted his best speed of 82 but, simply could not close quickly enough.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It will be interesting to see how he handles the race with the extended time off.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

4)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Cryptoshmurphy<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 8\/1 \u2013 chezlea<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt has ran on dirt three times and closed well in all three of those races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However, his last time out was on turf in his first stakes appearance and he lost ground in the stretch, though still finished second.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I expect Cryptoshmurphy<\/B> to regain his closing form on the dirt and give the favorites a great run.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

5)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Silver Tongue<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 18\/1 \u2013 reminder<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt enters his 7th<\/SUP> race with his best speed at his longest distance on dirt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That provides some good news for trainer reminder as Silver Tongue<\/B> as appeared to be a bit inconsistent as he finds out his prime running conditions.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This will be a stakes debut, as the last time out was the first race he had won outside of the maiden level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I expect his closing speed will likely not be enough to catch this field.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

6)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Incredible Law<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 9\/1 \u2013 tg<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

Incredible Law<\/SPAN><\/B> has come up empty in two straight races in the Horsehead Juvenile and the G2 Vermont BB Juvenile respectively.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has run his best speeds in shorter races and this being his longest race yet provides a daunting challenge.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In his first three races he provided good closing speed to take either 1st<\/SUP> or 2nd<\/SUP> in each of those races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However, in his last two, (at the graded level); he has lost his edge the longer the race went.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

7)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>My Destiny<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 9\/1 \u2013 saver<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

A very inexperienced colt that has only ran in two races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The last time out he won his maiden at 8 furlongs by pulling away late.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Q. Redden is not likely to help out too much with his 5% winning percentage.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A good goal for the colt would probably be to finish ITM in his first race outside of the maiden level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The inexperience and slower speed will likely prove too much for this colt to handle.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

8)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Encosta Rom<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 27\/1 \u2013 acarigua<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

He has shown good closing speed in both of his previous races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He finished well off the lead in his stakes race last time out but, was still able to make up ground in the stretch.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He will likely find the lead farther away and harder to catch in this deep field.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>You will not find any confidence in his jockey M. Frame.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is hard to imagine this horse seriously challenging in his first graded race.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

9)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Drunken Fish<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 6\/1 \u2013 bigal50<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt\u2019s last time out provided his best speed of 85 at his longest distance of 7.5 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The odds makers love this horse every time out and his pedigree is a good start to see why (Awesome Again X Storm Cat X A.P. Indy). This is Drunken Fish<\/B>\u2019s stakes debut and it looks to provide bigal50 <\/I>with a memorable one.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is very lightly raced and has improved speeds his last 3 times out.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

10)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Aerial<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 6\/1 \u2013 roar99<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

There is a noticeable and significant pattern in this colt\u2019s race history.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Each time out this colt has run a farther distance and each time out his speed has increased by an average over 7 each race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Once again his distance is increased and there is significant reason to believe that his best speed of 86 will be topped.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Aerial <\/I><\/B>has never finished worse than 2nd<\/SUP> in his 4 races while racking up a stakes win and just over $89,000 in purse money. Combine his credentials with L. Ingersoll\u2019s win percentage of 16 and that makes Aerial<\/B> a horse to watch for certain.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

Good morning Teddy!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If Bagwell looks this good I can\u2019t wait to see Linc the Sink.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This horse has only raced once and won his maiden race of 8 furlongs at a speed of 82.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is a very strong closer but, is most certainly an unknown as we only have one race to go on and his pedigree suggests he is more of a sprinter.<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

12)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Skunkbridled Song<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 7\/1 \u2013 skunkbred2<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

This colt has yet to finish outside of the money.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has posted his best two speeds at off tracks.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Last time out he made his stakes debut at The Father Mike Cap and finished 3rd<\/SUP>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He draws B. Girt who has only raced 94 times but, posts a respectable 10% win percentage.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I expect Skunkbridled Song<\/B> to finish well as he has done so in all of his races thus far if he can keep it close in the beginning.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

13)<\/FONT>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Marquis De Carabas<\/SPAN><\/B> \u2013 20\/1 \u2013 behr<\/I><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/P>

In his last race he closed quickly on the field after he made a move after the 4th<\/SUP> furlong.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He was able to win his first allowance race at a distance of 7 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has only raced 3 times and had success in both the maiden and allowance level.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>While he is inexperienced at the stakes level and his pedigree is nothing flashy his closing speed could pose an outside threat to pull off a huge upset. <\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

It is hard to go against the only horse to win on the graded level, much less a Grade <\/FONT><\/SPAN>I. <\/SPAN>But, that is exactly what I predict to happen as I pick Aerial<\/B> to win his first graded race for roar99<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However, I\u2019m sure neither russ<\/I> nor Bridled Dancer<\/B> would mind proving me wrong and continuing their winning ways.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bridled Dancer<\/B> is my second pick to take home the purse.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With my third pick I\u2019m smelling a bit of an upset (sorry couldn\u2019t resist) in Skunkbridled Song<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The deep field looks to upset the favorites but, it seems to breakdown with Aerial<\/B> and Bridled Dancer<\/B> 1st<\/SUP> and 2nd<\/SUP> in some order.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This is certainly a race you won\u2019t want to miss!<\/o:p><\/FONT><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
