Not only was he well supported in numbers but this was also a book of exceptional quality, breeding not only 25 mares who were Group or Stakes winners or the dams of Group or stakes winners, but another 30 mares who were half sisters to Group winners. Among these mares were 3 individual Group One winners, and the dams of another 4 Group One winners. This is the sort of book to give any aspiring leading sire ‘the perfect start’.

Complementing all of this is the support Perfectly Ready is receiving from his original owners Vinery Stud and Sheikh Mohammed bin Kalifa al Maktoum. To consolidate his future some of New Zealand’s astute breeders were brought on board as share holders: Monovale Farm, Nigel Auret, Rich Hill Stud, Colin and Irene Thompson, Ken McDonald, Wentwood Grange, Blandford Lodge, Grande Vue Lodge, Raffles Farm, Scott Williams, Steve Luey, Ancroft Stud, Tom Jamison, Casey Dando, Kylie Fawcett and Eddie Wright. This gives Perfectly Ready the sort of back up that will secure a very bright future indeed.

Even more icing on the cake has been the exploits over the last few weeks by Australia’s new equine superstar Sebring. By More Than Ready, Sebring first reached greatness in winning the Golden Slipper Group 1, one of the world’s greatest 2 year old races.

He then became Champion Australian 2 year old the following Saturday by winning the Sires Produce Stakes Group 1 and won the hearts of the nation with his gutsy narrow loss to Samantha Miss in the Champagne Stakes Group1. What lies ahead for the Champion 2 year old next year? Only time will tell!

All of this shows what an exceptional sire prospect Perfectly Ready is and these are only the achievements that have happened in the last 12 months! This impressive looking son of More Than Ready is an Australian Group 1 winning sprinter, and a Group winner at 2, 3 and 4. He boasts one of the best families in the stud book which hails back again to a Golden Slipper winner Belle du Jour. His dam, Elle Duccio, by Danehill is a half sister to Belle du Jour and from the legendary Belle Family.

His sprinting physique and market appeal has certainly captured the attention of the New Zealand and Australian breeders.

Perfectly Ready will be the first son of Vinery Stud’s shuttler More Than Ready to stand at stud in New Zealand and the second son in Australasia with Vinery Stud already being the home of his Gr I VRC Derby winner Benicio.

‘We would dearly love to have Perfectly Ready at Vinery this year, but we have More Than Ready, Benicio and another Southern Halo in Dubleo so we felt he would not get the opportunities he so deserves,’ said Vinery studmaster Peter Orton.
‘Furthermore I have always believed New Zealand is the ideal place to stand him as his racetrack performance, conformation and pedigree will suit perfectly.’

Ready won his juvenile debut at Moonee Valley and followed with a win in the Gr III MRC Blue Diamond Prelude before finishing third in the Gr I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes.
He trained on as a three-year-old to run a very close second in the Gr I MVRC Manikato Stakes and was taken to Dubai for the Gr I Golden Shaheen Stakes and in his first start back from UAE he was an impressive winner of the Gr I SAJC Goodwood Handicap (1200m).

Freshened after the Goodwood triumph he had five starts as a four-year-old in the early stages of this season with the highlight being his win in the Gr III MRC Harrolds 101 Stakes.

In total, Perfectly Ready recorded four wins and four placings from 15 stakes for stake earnings of $A685,650.
Perfectly Ready’s sire, More Than Ready, has been represented by more than 220 winners and 32 stakeswinners.

Perfectly Ready is from Elle Duccio (by Danehill), a winner over 1000 metres in Australia and the dam of three winners.
More importantly El Duccio is a half-sister to the Gr I Golden Slipper winner Belle Du Jour, who was the top filly on the 1999-2000 Australasian 2YO Classification .

When looking further back in Perfectly Ready’s maternal side it could be said he is returning home to his roots as he is from James and Annie Sarten’s famous Belle family.
Elle Duccio is from the Gr II VATC Memsie Stakes winner Delightful Belle (10 wins), who is by Balmerino from the smart three-year-old filly Kashmir Belle, a direct descendant of Bella Fox.

Delightful Belle has been a most prolific broodmare, leaving 10 winners with Belle Du Jour being the star as winner of not only the Gr I Golden Slipper Stakes but also the Gr I VRC Newmarket Handicap and four other group races.

Types of mares to target include mares by lines of Better Boy(Centaine), Star Kingdom(Lord Ballina, Canny Lad, Kingdom Bay etc), Sir T (Zabeel, Kaapstad, Grosvenor etc), Northern Dancer (Volksraad, Stravinsky, O’Reilly, Towkay, Cape Cross, Spinning World, Last Tycoon, Barathea, Bluebird, Desert Sun, Royal Academy etc, and also some Danehill line mares would be interesting although a close cross), Hail to Reason (Red Ransom, Sound Reason, Singspeil, ) and Mr. P ( Gulch, Straight Strike, Machiavellian etc)
Horses produced with a Hail to Reason x Northern Dancer x Northern Dancer cross inc 30 individual Group winners inc Nannina and Cesario.
Horses produced with a Hail to Reason x ND x Star Kingdom cross inc 5 individual Group winners inc St Basil and Confectioner.
Horses produced with a Hail to Reason x ND x Raise a Native cross inc 11 individual Group winners inc Pine Island

IN THE SIM

He has only been used 5 times so far and lang=EN-NZ>he is trained by the astute gray wolf and has started his career in good style he has plenty of Northern Dancer in his pedegree and that’s where you should look too.

The other
