First, thank you to everyone for your participation. Hoosier Racing-Wagga Wagga Championship is an Owner Restricted Listed Stakes that will run on the track in New South Wales.  Entries are restricted to 3 year old fillies only and the race has drawn thirteen horses that will start in the race this Saturday afternoon.  The horses will travel a distance of 8 furlongs across the firm turf track. The odds have been released and the post positions have been drawn.  Let us now take a brief preview of the field that will start in the Hoosier Racing-Wagga Wagga Championship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Bay Filly (DOCTOR FREMANTLE x DANSILI (GB) x MINESHAFT) switched back to the turf two starts back and went gate to wire in both of her most recent starts picking up a claiming and allowance win.  This horse looks for another win here this weekend and will attempt to make it three wins in a row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we have another Bay Filly (CALYX (GB) x STAY GOLD (JPN) x HAWK WING) who hit the boards in a couple of Listed Stakes races in the past but has yet to get win.  She looks to change that this weekend as she makes the start around two turns for only the second time in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Brown Filly (NOBLE MISSION x THEATRICAL x RED RANSOM) has only missed hitting the boards one time in her seven career starts.  She continues to improve, and she likes to run up front.  She got a gate to wire allowance win the last time out and she is looking to keep her nice record intact this Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we see a Bay Filly (KINGMAN x AUSTRALIA x DUBAWI (IRE)) that two starts back picked up an allowance win at the distance of 8 furlongs.  She ran at 7 furlongs in her most recent allowance race in Ireland and she was never a factor.  She looks to improve this time as she goes back to a likeable 8 furlong trip this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we see this Chestnut Filly (NIGHT OF THUNDER x DANSILI (GB) x KRIS S.) that will be making her d\u00e9but this weekend around two turns.  This filly has continued to improve this season and the owner feels she has the stamina to go the added distance.  She will need a big effort here this weekend and continue improving with added experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Bay Filly (ROCK OF GIBRALTAR x GIANT’S CAUSEWAY x PULPIT) who has never missed the boards in eight career starts.  She has also picked up her fourth win as she went gate to wire at 8.5 furlongs and a 106 speed rating.  She has two prior Listed Stakes starts to her credit but finished as the bridesmaid in both of those races after being chased down late.  She hopes to catch the bridal bouquet this Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Bay Filly (FRANKEL (GB) x DEEP IMPACT x FASTNET ROCK (AUS)) started off the season with a miss on the boards.  She quickly pulled things back together and in her second start of the season she broke the century mark with a 100 speed rating in an allowance race in Paris.  In her most recent start, she ran third with a 98 speed.  She is looking to hit triple digits again here in New South Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scratch bred Bay Filly (FASTNET ROCK (AUS) x MONTJEU x MONSUN) has nine prior starts and she hit the boards in all of her races while picking up four wins.  She has never been around two turns before so she will be venturing into new territory.  She has looked good at 7.5 furlongs in her two most recent starts and the owner feels she has it in her to go a little longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Bay Filly (GHAIYYATH (IRE) x GHOSTZAPPER x ARCH) had two allowance wins in a row and then she attempted a Listed Stakes in her most recent start going 8.5 furlongs.  She was met with adversity as she was never a factor with a 92 speed rating.  The owner hopes to see some improved effort this time when she breaks from her post draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we have a scratch bred Bay Filly (FASTNET ROCK (AUS) x PIVOTAL x GALILEO (IRE)) that is showing some improvement over time.  She has been running this 8 furlong distance so she should know the routine.  She still needs to show some improvement in this start if she is to challenge at the wire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Chestnut Filly (WRITTEN TYCOON (AUS) x WORLD RENOWNED x NOT IMPOSSIBLE) is coming off two nice allowance wins in a row, and both were sprint races.  She has traveled two turns before in her career and has proved she can go the distance.  She is our only graded winner in the field, and she will be in New South Wales showing off her bling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Brown Filly (NO NAY NEVER x STORM CAT x SEEKING THE GOLD) is out of HOF mare, Grand Entry.  This filly is not yet a Graded winner like her mother, but she does have two second place finishes in G3 races and one was at the distance of 8 furlongs.  She was not a factor at her most recent Listed Stakes start at 6.5 furlongs so perhaps moving back up to travel two turns will help get her groove back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Brown Filly (FRANKEL (GB) x SCAT DADDY x SPEIGHTSTOWN) who likes running on the lead draws the dreaded outside post.  Two starts back she got the win in an allowance race at 8 furlongs as she went gate to wire.  In her recent start she tried going 9 furlongs in a Listed Stakes in Berkshire and was never a factor.  Perhaps stepping back down to 8 furlongs will be what it takes for her to rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
