Comeback by an experienced trainer Part 8: This week something happened to me, which I really don\u2019t like, I bid a race for Farax for week 3651, this week, and the horse was still at Ready to Go!, so what to do now? Most of the sims folks would likely give a horse one more week to prepare, which is what i would likely do, as I really prefer running them Sharp!. However I planned on making a surface switch and bid for the race, so the one exception I make running a horse not at Sharp, is if I had planned to run him a certain week and bid a race. So I went ahead and entered Farax, so now the problem arises, I made the surface switch, so i want to judge, if he is better on the Dirt or not, take a look at what he produced: http:\/\/www.simulatedsports.net\/hr\/runtime\/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=108639<\/A> Now, what to do next, I guess all I can do is give him 3 more weeks, bid for a race and hope he comes up sharp this time, as at the moment, I\u2019d say he is equally good on dirt and turf. In general I\u2019ll likely have to lower his claim tag, he really is not as good as i thought, and unless he can reproduce 100 speed numbers, he\u2019ll likely going down the claiming ladder each race from now on. In my Boble stable I only had one other runner, my 2yo BoSummer ran an average debut, finishing 5th<\/SUP> in a 6f Turf Maiden, He\u2019ll likely need longer distances. http:\/\/www.simulatedsports.net\/hr\/runtime\/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=165692<\/FONT><\/A> Boble overall is turning more and more into a stable of 2yos, as the Breeding Rush hit me this week, I decided to breed a scratch breed and eliminate Wilde Hilde II, who had not done as well in Claimers as I thought, and before putting her into the auction, I decided to breed something new, what I did is an experiment going after this years Oaks winner, which is Elvstroem x Manila x Sadller\u2019s Wells, so as Elvstroem and Manila where available for credits I decided to breed the following: ELVSTROEM (AUS) x MANILA x BARATHEA(IRE) In my boble2 stables I had 4 Runners, combining for 40 BP, let\u2019s take a look, my first starter was Elispeth, my 3yo filly that won first time out for me, well, her second start was way worse, she only produced a 69, and finished 6th<\/SUP>, what surprised me, she came back still Sharp, so I guess she somehow didn\u2019t find the race, and I decided to try and enter her again next week. I know this is a strange move for a 3yo, but if a horse underperforms and comes back sharp I tend to think it is worth a try running again. On the other hand, if she would have performed normal, I would likely have given her the normal rest period and hoped the sharp would stay and not turn into an after Sharp, RTG. Into a Tizzy is gettin better week by week, as i drop him in the claiming tags, he finished a nice 2nd<\/SUP> and won 25 BP, he is a good example of an original horse that can produce BP, once you find his best place to run at. http:\/\/www.simulatedsports.net\/hr\/runtime\/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=19895<\/FONT><\/A> The opposite can be said of Only One, an original horse that coudln\u2019t hit the board in 3 tries, and which i will place in the auction this week, beware, and don\u2019t bid on him. The other 15 BP this week came from Private Report, another Original Horse, I struggled a long time to find the right place for him, but now he suddenly seems to get better, despite being run every other week, http:\/\/www.derbyfever.com\/hr\/runtime\/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=16839<\/A> Boble2 finally hit the magic number of 20 races, which allows you to place horses into the auction, and I will use this feature with 3 of my original horses, who failed to produce BP so far, it really is important to have each horse score BP every time it runs, for me a general rule of thumb is, if a horse fails to produce BP twice, either drop it way in class, rest it a long period, or if neither is likely to help, put it in the auction, and for original horses this is most of the time the only thing that will likely help, so say good-bye to bangkok, Only One and Chief Deputy. News from other Boble Stables: Well, this week I couldn\u2019t reproduce my 7 wins from the last 2 weeks and had to settle for 4 Wins, along with 6 2nds and 6 3rds, Boble Stables still produced 418 BP.
