The race is for three-year-olds only and will be held over a mile and one sixteenth on the main dirt track. With a purse being offered of $150,000, the race has attracted a full field of fourteen, including a lone filly that will be taking on the boys in the Grade III race. Despite a threat of rain early on, the track looks like it will be listed as fast at post time.

Lorne Suzuki – jorjanikki – A. The bay daughter of Quality Road has so far faced only other females in her career, and will be making just her second start in graded company this weekend. She last started here in Florida in January during a listed stakes race over a nine and a half furlongs. Held just off the pace in third out of the gate, the filly crossed the wire in second, off the pace by a length and three-quarters while setting a speed figure of ninety-five. The only other graded start for the filly was in her mid two-year-old season during The Sorgento (G3) at six and a half furlongs. The filly was later out of the gate than usual and she came home seventh at the wire.

2. Rock The Dawn (IRE) – amir1614 – C. The most recent graded start for the colt was in last year’s Breeder’s Bowl Juvenile Dirt Sprint (G1), where he finished twelfth.
