An Auction News Scoop!<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

Auction – 3588<\/SPAN><\/B> – I am sure that everyone will be glad to know that this will mark the end of my auction articles until next September.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Summer is a pretty busy time for me on my little farm in <\/SPAN>Arizona<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I am expecting at least four more boarder horses to come in within the next few weeks.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I also have three baby foals, all by Deposit Ticket, and they need to learn their early lessons.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Those important things that babies really need to know – like learning to be caught, learning to lead, to be brushed and to pickup their feet.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I can’t wait as it is always such a fun time.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The other big thing is of course, racing starts next weekend and I have two horses in training and I am looking forward to a great summer.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

But for this week, I am here and the Auction went on as usual.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>After several weeks of high numbers, things seemed to return to normal.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>About 60 less horses were offered for sale, only three horses brought more than a million dollars and horses seemed to be more reasonably priced as the RNA was down.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In fact just about every category was down except for three and the biggest jump of the three was the Computer stable taking home almost a hundred more horses than last week.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Eleven horses eight and up went for more than a dollar with the highest price of the group going for $50,001.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bdog01<\/EM><\/STRONG> offered up the 10 YO bay mare Country Club Sell<\/B> # 9035, a $2,500 claimer by Quiet Courier and Skirom<\/I><\/B> signed the ticket on the five time winner who has won her last two.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The Millionaires:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/B>Only three horses sold for a million dollars or more and at least one was a stable transfer, however, either of the other two could have been also and I just couldn’t tell.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The top seller this week was #34689 Luv That Hunter<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A striking 4 YO grey filly by El Prado, Luv That Hunter<\/B> was consigned by Hawksfarms<\/I><\/B> and a bid of $2,000,287 by Rihanna<\/I><\/B> (a division of the Winnette group) took her home.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is out of the stakes winning mare Hunter’s Choice (Pientre Celebre) who won 13 of 57 races and is the dam of two foals to race, both winners.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Luv That Hunter<\/B> is a four time winner from 24 starts and has run for a $2,500 claiming tag.<\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

CK Silver Fairy<\/SPAN><\/B> was the reserve sale topper and sold for $1,800,001.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A big copper chestnut 4 YO colt by Sakee out of a Silver Deputy mare, he has won four of his 19 starts although his last win was some six months ago.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Docoz<\/I><\/B> offered this colt and fellow Aussie Superfecta<\/I><\/B> (Dowelly) led him away.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Hip number # 146779 was a stable transfer, moving from the barn of Bikeboy<\/I><\/B> across the shedrow to Donnyb<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Let’s Be Clear <\/B>was a 3 YO dark brown filly by Sharp Humor out of Up Hill Climb (Mt Livermore) and the short move cost the Beisbol group $1,700,000.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The Auction Seen:\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/B>Finally some nice weather and when it is nice – it is really nice.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>My plane was a bit late and I had to pay for extra luggage but I found a cab really quick and arrived at the sale barn in time to meet up with Lenny <\/I><\/B>and Texasace<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>They were in a hurry as they needed to be in <\/SPAN>Maryland<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> later in the afternoon for the second leg of The Triple Tierra.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is always fun to be seen with the rich and famous and Saturday was no different as they know everyone that is anyone and quite a few others as well.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>As we got to the main door I had to stop and get out “that extra luggage” which was a stack full of flyers. I posted a flyer, eye level right on the main door to the sales barn.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In fact I posted flyers everywhere I could find a piece of blank wall.\u00a0The flyer\u00a0was an announcement about a 2 YO in training sale being held on Memorial Day weekend and put on by Knightmare<\/I><\/B> from his Txknight<\/I><\/B> stable.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is offering for sale ten unraced 2 YOs and will have the catalog out very soon.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I, of course, being in on things have already seen a preview of the catalog and let me tell you it is very professionally done and I think all of you will be most impressed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Personally, I think there should be a couple of auctions a year devoted to only unraced 2 YOs so maybe this will be the start of something big!\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

I parted ways with Lenny<\/I><\/B> and Texasace,<\/I><\/B> they had things to do and I don’t think they wanted to be bothered by an old lady with flyers and thumbtacks. I moved to the bar to buy myself a soda with Soda<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We spoke of the upcoming Equinics<\/I> which will be held at the track in <\/SPAN>China<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> this year and he is looking forward to that.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Pata, Alishan<\/I><\/B> and Johnny<\/I><\/B> all stopped by and said hello and of course I asked them to help put flyers on all the tables, before I finally started to make my way over towards my own table.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was about to sit down when I was nearly bowled off my feet by Tsunam<\/I><\/B>i who was in a hurry for something or someone.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was looking quite tan after a few days at the beach near Gulf<\/I><\/B> and <\/SPAN>Atlantic<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>When I finally did sit, it was just in time to welcome Rock63<\/I><\/B> who stopped by with Tokenchoke<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We discussed the upcoming 2 YO auction and they seemed to be quite excited about it.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Actually it seemed to be on most people’s lips, possibly because of the flyers I was passing out to everyone. The group on my right, Orosto<\/I><\/B> who was with Rash<\/I><\/B> and Nutz4bucks,<\/I><\/B> were already speculating what the offerings might be.\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>At the table to my\u00a0left were Oddsonfav<\/I><\/B> along with Goharness<\/I><\/B> and Saddleup<\/I><\/B> and they were checking out the several of the horses going into the ring today but promised they would be around for the Memorial Day sale.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Chad40<\/I><\/B> was down by the ring with Helenus<\/I><\/B> and Florence<\/I><\/B> so I called them up to give them a flyer as well as the whole Bear<\/I><\/B> clan, the Hawks<\/I><\/B>, the Pigeons<\/I><\/B> and the Budgies<\/I><\/B> which got rid of just about all of\u00a0my flyers.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Quiggy, Quickvett<\/I><\/B>, who had been on the same flight from <\/SPAN>Phoenix<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> as I was, along with\u00a0Rubies,<\/I><\/B> all promised to be there.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Propertyof<\/I><\/B> took one as did Stallion<\/I><\/B> and B’dog <\/STRONG><\/EM>and\u00a0I was down to just a few by the time the auction was over but I made sure that Tegan,\u00a0<\/EM><\/STRONG>who <\/EM><\/STRONG>was <\/EM><\/STRONG>laughing at a table\u00a0with Aprilwine<\/I><\/B> and Nightcap<\/I><\/B> all had one.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

All in all it was a busy morning and I made sure almost everyone got a\u00a0notice for the upcoming 2 YO in training sale.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>For those of you that did not get one, the catalog will be out soon so save your money and see if there is one that catches your fancy.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I will certainly\u00a0be there but probably\u00a0as a spectator only. \u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The STC<\/SPAN><\/B> – There wasn’t a great deal of action this week with trainers only purchasing 15 horses for a total of $6,748.00.00 and an average price of $449.87.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Stcsargent<\/I><\/B> was the leading buyer, taking home three for $3.00 and Binzastc<\/I><\/B> paid the most, $5,001.00 for # 159980 Canadian<\/B> Hawk<\/B> a 3 YO bay filly that has only raced two times but has yet to break her maiden.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
