Auction 3474<\/SPAN><\/B> – Due to watching extended coverage of the Kentucky Derby yesterday day and then going out to the local arena last night so I could watch our local ice hockey team, The Sundogs, win game two of the CHL President’s Cup Final, this will be an abbreviated version of the Sim horse auction.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Now, no tossing your hats in the air, but I really only had time to drop by the Sales office and pick up a copy of what happened on Saturday.\u00a0 So here goes….\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Only seven horses went for a million dollars or more and three of those were sold by the Greenapp<\/I><\/B> conglomerate and all went to the same person, Erasmus<\/I><\/B>, who paid exactly one million for each one of them.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sometimes the finer points of stable transfers escape me.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The other four will be mentioned below.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Stc trainers are buying less these days and purchased a total of two horses for $3.00.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The old guys did much better and six of the oldies went for more than a dollar, including the Pole2pole<\/I><\/B> consignee # 76548 <\/SPAN>Sugar<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/SPAN><\/B>Mt<\/SPAN><\/B>.<\/SPAN><\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trainer Jmadm<\/I><\/B> paid $550,002.00 for the 8 YO bay horse, a seven time winner by Mt Livermore.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>As far as the stats go – almost every category that was up last week, was down this and vice versa.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Interesting\u2026\u2026 <\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The sale topper this week was hip number #103460, Lemuria<\/B> who sold for $3,500,001.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Consigned by Glenys123<\/I><\/B>, Lemuria<\/B> is a 5 YO dark bay mare by Storm Cat out of the Theatrical mare Broad Wool.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Broad Wool had only a maiden win before fracturing her knee and being retired.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has produced three foals to race of which two are winners and won is graded stakes placed.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Calumet<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place> signed the ticket on this good looking and very well bred mare.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Rescued from the slaughter pen by <\/SPAN>Jordans<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, I Leonardo<\/B> was put in a stall and for months, was brushed, bathed, rubbed on and fattened up until he looked like his old self again.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Looking like a prince again, Leo was sent to the Sim auction barn and Loverboy paid $2,150,001.00 for the right to lead him home.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I Leonardo<\/B> is a grand looking chestnut 6 YO horse by <\/SPAN>Milan<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> out of the <\/SPAN>Coronado<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>‘s Quest mare Easy Quester.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Leo started a total of seven times, 6 as a 2 YO in 2004 and once as a 3 YO in late 2005 with only a third place finish to show for his efforts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Where he’s been before being rescued is anyone’s guess.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Easy Quester has only two foals to race and neither of them are winners.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Northern Rule<\/SPAN><\/B> # 21321 is a big raw boned, 3YO bay filly with black points.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is by Kingston Rule out of the Northern Victory mare Spain Fisherman who has two foals to race with her only winner being Northern Rule<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She won easily at first asking, happily splashing over the “good” track to earn an 88 speed figure in a $25,000 maiden claim.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dave50<\/I><\/B> consigned this undefeated filly and Bryanj79<\/I><\/B> paid $1,200,000.00 to take her home.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Last but not least is # 161760 The Lawman<\/B>, a 3 YO chestnut colt by Cats And Dogs out of an Alflora mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has made two starts and has not earned a penny but Manamou01<\/I><\/B> was willing to pay $1,000,001.00 for this $13,500 claimer consigned by Bung3<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Hmmmm\u2026. Was probably a stable transfer but I couldn’t prove it so he gets space.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
