For some the Sydney Oaks in New South Wales this weekend may have been rather boring but certainly not for trainers Scootboy and LadofManor who\u2019s respective horses DAY OF TRIUMPH<\/b> and CAVALIER CHANT<\/b> dueled from start to finish and kind of got out front and forgot about everyone else in the race. <\/p>\n

In the end, the winner of the Sydney Oaks Stakes <\/b>was DAY OF TRIUMPH<\/b> in her best race to date. It appears that she had that breakout race that I predicted she was ready for in my preview. Under jockey K.Williams she got out front early and continued to stretch the lead that enabled her to gain her 5th victory in only 11 tries. She has now won every other race in her last eight so bettors beware two races from now! She now has over 600k in earnings for trainer and owner ScootBoy and looks like she is just hitting her stride.. She ran her fastest race with solid 98.55 SPF and now has her first Stakes win and it is a Grade I. She is now the number one ranked filly in the three year old filly class and looks like she could be one of those that lasts a long time at the long distance turf races. <\/p>\n

The top three in the race were all early leaders with POLYAMOROUS <\/b> starting fourth and finishing third behind our first two horses. Another struggle for last year\u2019s Horse of the Year in MIESQUE’S GOLD <\/b> as she slipped back to eighth nearly 25 lengths behind the winner. She didn\u2019t take to the extra distance at all. . <\/p>\n

The other also ran\u2019s in the race were: NOT LONG AGO(NZ), ATHENA AREIA(IRE), RODEO DRIVE(KY), KUCHIKI(IRE), MIESQUE’S GOLD(SAF), DEATH AWAITS YOU(AUS), PAX AUGUSTA(AUS), XTRA DYNAFORM(KY), DEEP DREAMS(JPN), SENORITA HANAA(JPN), and TIZ YOUR FATE(KY)<\/b>. <\/p>\n

ScootBoy has quite a special horse in the stable and has to be really excited about the prospects of this beautiful filly. I have a feeling we may see both DAY OF TRIUMPH<\/b> and CAVALIER CHANT<\/b> dueling for quite a long time. I love a rivalry!!<\/p>\n
