By the time the horses neared the top of the stretch in New York’s 16th<\/SUP> race, the Reuben Garr Memorial, it became clear that the three favorites weren’t going to be in the picture, as G Rolling rode the 15\/1-shot Senor Anzio<\/STRONG> past 16\/1 CK Red Dubai<\/STRONG>, just in time to get collared by the 13\/1 Burgazada<\/STRONG> for a stretch-long drive.<\/P>


<\/P>

Up in the owners’ boxes, elranchoti<\/EM> and hamster<\/EM> stood and screamed for their steeds to \u201cbring it home\u201d, each hoping they’d be the one that received the royally-bred filly offered up along with the 1500 game credits promised the winner….<\/P>


<\/P>

By midstretch, it was a match race, with CK Red Dubai<\/STRONG> having coughed up the bit, and nobody else making a serious threat to the top two.\u00a0 Inch by inch, Burgazada<\/STRONG> took command, winning in an all-out drive by just a half-length, causing a huge celebration in the hamster<\/EM> stable’s box.\u00a0 The timer stopped in 1:33.1, getting a very nice 118 speed rating, the highest number given out Sim-wide this week.\u00a0 What’s more, Senor Anzio’s<\/STRONG> speed rating was the third-fastest of the week. <\/P>


<\/P>

Up for the show spot, 3 \u00bc lengths behind Senor Anzio<\/STRONG>, was the 14\/1 Hoegaarden<\/STRONG>, of the simsters6<\/EM> barn.\u00a0 This trio of bombers triggered a big $7617 trifecta payout. <\/P>

\u201cI knew we had it all along,\u201d gasped hamster<\/EM>.\u00a0 \u201cUm, okay… no, I didn’t! That Anzio<\/STRONG> horse gave us everything we wanted!\u00a0 Now, excuse me while I go get a drink…\u201d\u00a0 He dashed off toward the Jagermeister before the reporter could even ask of future plans for Burgazada<\/STRONG>.<\/P>

This tremendous run by Burgazada<\/STRONG> looks like it’s far from the last… The 4yo filly has run just 10 times and won 7, and is 5-for-7 on the sod.\u00a0 Fast-track towards the BB Mile, maybe?<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
