A sweet victory was enjoyed by Adagio Fragrance in the Burden Buster Challenge Stakes race for Fillies and Mares, three and up at the beautiful Victoria Park race Park in Australia. The mile and a half race on the turf course was run under sunny skies in front of an enthusiastic Aussie crowd. <\/p>\n
Adagio Fragrance\u2019s trainer, Cream was tickled with the dark grey four year old filly who is a Cozzene offspring. She had her best outing in five races and bumped her winning up over a quarter million dollars. It was her third stakes win and she looks to be back on track after a disappointing Grade three in her previous try. <\/p>\n
Goat Herder set the early pace and had a five length lead at the half. She was tiring noticeably and Adagio Fragrance came barreling down the stretch like a freight train. She flew past Goat Herder and finished almost two lengths ahead of second place Lidocaine. Seventh Sojourn moved past Goat Herder to take third.<\/p>\n
It remains to be seen what plans trainer Cream has for this gorgeous filly, whether to take another stab at the graded scene of run a few more regular stakes before taking advantage of her strong pedigree as a broodmare.
