The mile and a quarter Stakes race for 3 year old fillies was run on the dirt under a gorgeous late summer sky.  <\/p>\n<p>This beautiful brown Awesome Again filly ran a nearly perfect race and reached a triple digit speed figure for her first time.  She won for the seventh time in 15 races and added to her quarter million dollars in earnings.  She finished third last time out in a Graded Stakes but has now won three regular stakes in a row.<\/p>\n<p>Gilded Pearl took the early lead in the race with Thief at Heart and XtremelyAwesome stalking four back.  Awesome took the lead from a badly fading Gilded Pearl at the top of the stretch and never looked back.  Bidasoa was charging hard for second but had too much horse ahead of her. <\/p>\n<p>Xtremely Awsome took a big step up here and I expect her to be successful in Graded Races next couple out.  I must add that I picked the top three in order in my preview for this race.
