The event is a graded III stakes race, contested on a dirt track for fillies and mares, 3 years and up, willing to go 9f. The race features a nice mare by the name of K’s Eskape, who is seeking her 4th consecutive victory. And here is how the field looks to me:

1. A Quiet Year 7-1
Trainer Kevoman2 almost saw A Quiet Year capture her first stakes win in her last outing. She just got nipped by a nose at the wire, running the 9f in a rated speed of 107. She has only 4 stakes event, finishing 7th in 3 of them prior to capturing this second place finish. Were those three 7-place finishes lucky for her???

2. Winning Season 9-1
Winning Season has been in a slump for trainer Cdragon winning one of her last 8 trips to the starting gate. Albeit, half of these races wer on off-track surfaces. Winning Season has been off her mark, with only 3 wins in 13 starts since January ’07. I fear her struggles will continue here.

3. K’s Eskape 3-1
K’s Eskape comes in seeking to extend her win stresk to 4 in a row and she can do it here. She comes off a career best rated speed of 111 in her last race, under the watchful eye of trainer Pompeya. Since switching back to the dirt surface last June, she has not finished worse than second, nor under a speed rating of 100. She is sharp.

4. Alyskye 10-1
Trainer Ma2nature brings this filly into her first graded outing. She comes off a hard fought victory at 9f, setting a career mark speed of 109. She’s been over the 100 level in four of her last five, with the only one under coming on an off-track. She rates a look.

5. Mt. Pyemore 10-1
Mt. Pyemore likes to take the lead, however, has tired out in her stretch runs in recent outings. Trainer Pye brouht her down to 9f in her last race(she’s been racing 10f and up), and she was able to win with a speed rating of 105, however, this was against lower $ allowance company. That was her only race above 100 and she hasn’t won a stakes race in 6 trys. She will need to repeat her last outing in order to pull off the upset.

6. Bet the Flop 9-2
Trainer 40oz has obtained the services of top jock N. Lawton to handle this mare. Bet the Flop was brought to the dirt surface back in July, as an experiment, which paid off. She has won 4 of 7 races, grabbing the lead in each outing. She’s coming off a career best of 112 run at 9f, against allowance. She loves the front end and could be the one to catch.

7. Minny Mouse 5-1
Minny has won three of her last 7 for trainer Theodore11, however, these wins were all at the allowance level. Minny hasn’t been to the winner’s circle in any of her 5 stake outings. She did come close in January, missing by a mere nose, with a nice speed rating of 109. She is able to put in competitive speeds and will need to do her best to take this one.

8. Apache Princess 4-1
Trainer Fatattack bumps Apache Princess up to the graded stakes after her impressive hard closing win against allowance on March 1st. She has been consistant lately with 100+ speeds. In her last 10, she shows a respectful 3-3-0 record. She charges hard from the back and if the speedsters burn out, she may blow by them.

9. LaPlace 9-1
LaPlace has always struggled to break the 100-speed plateau and is winless in stakes, showing a record of 12-0-4-1. Trainer Tamure had the misfortune of being assigned Jockey Haffner (4 wins in 113 starts) by the stewards. LaPlace seems to be in La Wrong Place for this outing and will need to excel to spoil her foe.

K’s Eskape has the advantage in this one. She has been awfully tough to beat and should extend her streak. Bet the Flop will most likely get the lead and has a history of grabbing large leads early that are hard to cut into. She is my second choice. Apache Princess is my third selection and even if the top two are uncatchable, Apache should be able to hit the board for third.

[2

post-5668","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
