The track is hard with no chance of rain. Full field of 2yo fillies is lined up and for many of them it will be there first try at a route so it will be a toss of the coin to who salutes in this one. Lets take a look at the field.

20092 – Cape Hughes (Henny Hughes) Owned by pecos196. Has been tackling allowance races to date with a nice record, winning the last two easily with 107 and 111 respectively over todays distance. Last start he stepped up to Stakes level in the Bright Sal Dirt Mile when running 5th beaten just under 4 lengths running 109 after trying to lead all the way and only just tiring late. If he can find the front and no pressure he will be in the finish judging by his last few starts. Just think with the speed engaged today he could find pressure and may set the race up for the swoopers. Chance.

    2. 32111 – Uptown Affirmed (Uptowncharlybrown) Owned by elzid. Jockey – V.Jennings. 10/1

Another nice filly who has never missed the board in 6 starts, winning 3 of them which interestingly enough are her last three starts. She won two allowance races over 6.5F with Bayer ratings of 82 and 83 respectively before stepping up to group level last time out in the G2 Iron Deck over 6.5F and coming from 8th bloused them in the straight to win by 1.5 lengthsrunning an SP of 82. Her style and breeding suggest she should eat up this trip and she has made nice progression in her short career to date. Another filly with a great chance depending on how she handles the mile.

    3. 1111 – Straightstreetcat (Always Dreaming) Owned by coomer3. Jockey – N.Armstrong. 10/1

Another filly with the perfect start to her career going 4 for 4. She has however already won over todays distance and that was last start in an Allowance race running a 78. She was just off the pace that day and took over on straightening to win by a widening 3 and ¾ lengths. Prior to that she won the G3 Canada Day over 6.5F on an off track and recorded her best bayer 87. She again stalked the pace before taking over with a few furlongs to go and held on to win by ¼ length. 3 starts back she won the G2 Vermont BB Juvenile 5.5F running an 81. Will probably be up on the lead and looks to be plenty of pace in the race. Will this set up for a closer or will she stretch out for the win. The ease of her win last start suggests there is more to come from this filly. Big chance.

    4. 2121 – Western Fantasy (Tapit) Owned by nexty. Jockey – N.Bonus. 5/1

Another filly who has never missed the board in 4 starts. Winning 2 and placing 2nd in the other 2. Last time out she won the Gold Thunder Dirt Juvenile Fillies over 7F coming from mid pack to score an impressive win by 1.5 lengths running a nice 87SP. The start prior she finished 2nd in the Rich Bag Dirt Juvenile Fillies over 6.5F again coming from just off midfield with an impressive turn of foot in the straight to just miss by ½ length running 85SP. This filly is progressing very nicely for her owner and with a bit of luck she can definitely contend here. Looks a major player the only unknown is the distance which is the same for most of these fillies.

    5. 17411 – Decker Strike (American Freedom) Owned by moreready1. Jockey – V.Webb. 18/1

Nice filly who has mainly contested Allowance races lately although she has won over todays distance and that was last start in an allowance race at this track. She led all the way in that race and won by a head running her fastest SP of 85. Prior to that race she won an allowance race over 6.5F coming from well off the pace to score impressively by ¼ length with an SP of 75. The only stakes race she has contested was the Sloppy Prospector Dirt Juvenile Fillies 5F in which she charged from well back to finish 7th beaten 3 lengths. It appears as though this filly has improved as the distance increased and last time out of this trip ran her best race. She would need to run right up to that form if she was to win this but she seems very capable. Good each way bet for mine.

    6. 1321 – Dawngoesdowntoday (Quality Road) Owned by theblackcircle. Jockey – R.Bokie. 5/1

Another nice 2yo who has never missed the board in her 4 races to date winning two of them. The last win was over this distance in an allowance race last start where she came from midfield and rounded them up in impressive fashion winning by an ever widening 2.5 lengths and running 92. Prior to this she ran 2nd in the G3 Canada Day behind Straightstreetcat beaten ¼ length on a sloppy track running 86. The start before this she stormed home for 3rd in the G2 Vermont BB Juvenile Filly again behind her nemesis Straightstreetcat coming from well back running 76SP. The big key for this filly is that she has won over the distance and posted a career best SP in doing so. Think she may be able to turn the tables today with a big run. Huge chance.

    7. 2113– Belleaux Wood (Omaha Beach) Owned by mvillebabe. Jockey – La Ferguson. 9/1

Another filly who has never missed the board in her short career. Winning 2 of 4 races to date. Last time out she was 3rd in the G1 Getaway Stakes over 7F beating home Ignore the Noise she was sixth in the run and despite making progress was held to 2.5 lengths at the end running 85. Prior to that she won the Pregnant Fax Dirt Juvenile Fillies over 6.5F settling 5th in the run and coming on strongly in the stretch to win by ¼ length running 84. Won her maiden over 7F the start before this running 77 so she is improving with each run. She looks capable of handling the step up in trip and should get a cosy run off the pace which could set her up nicely. Chance in open affair.

    8. 21252- Three Gems (Bernardini) Owned by tfon4. Jockey – L.Creek. 20/1

This is a major step up in class for this filly having only contested allowance races. In saying that she has been racing really well and serves a crack at some Group Glory. She does have the advantage of having raced over a route and that came last time out in an 8.5F allowance race where she stalked the pace and was strong just getting run down late to finish 2nd beaten just under 2 lengths running an 80SP. Prior to that run she ran 5th in an allowance over 7F again stalking the pace and fading late with an 77SP. Her SP has improved at each run and will need a career best to feature here but anything is possible in these events for 2yo’s.

    9. 14141 – Rialto Ride (Clubhouse Ride) Owned by stable92. Jockey – R.Weber. 18/1

If her career to date is anything to go by this filly should finish 4th. Again, she is trying the route for the first time. Last time out she won the URC-Spinaway Stakes over 7F. She was up on speed that day and finished to well in the straight to claim victory by 1.5 lengths running an 85SP. Prior to this she ran 4th in the G3 Schoolerville over 6F this time she was off the pace before closing nicely in the straight but was well held on the line beaten just under 5 lengths. The start before this she was successful in the Thing of Beauty Dirt Juvenile Fillies over 5.5F practically leading all the way to win by ¾ of a length and running an 76SP. This filly has plenty of pace which there is an abundance of in this race. May find a few of these too slick however don’t right her off as she is improving and ran her best SP over the longest distance she has faced so far, last start.

    10. 112 – NY Troopers Ghost (Ghostzapper) Owned by doodlegbs1. Jockey – N.Ambrose. 7/1

A filly who has raced over the 8F of todays race. Only had the 3 starts with the latest over this trip in the G3 The Chicago-DC Lassie running 2nd with a 90. She came from off the pace in that race and stormed home to be beaten 2.5 lengths. Prior to that race she won an allowance over 7F with an 84 again coming from well back to win nicely by ¼ length. This filly has had a nice little freshen up in to this and looks as sharp as a tack. Her last run suggests she is definitely up to winning this and with so few tested over the mile I think she could be the one storming home to claim victory. She has progressed in all 3 runs in the preparation and will improve again today.

    11. 111 – Point of Sale (Tapit) Owned by mtk76. Jockey – MJ Kelly. 10/1

This filly has been perfect to start her career going 3 for 3. Can’t ask for more than that. She hasn’t been over a route as yet which is the case for most of the filly’s engaged today. Last time out she won the G1 Dell Computer Debutante over 7F on an off track running her best Bayer of 86. She stalked the pace that day before claiming the lead late and continuing on to win by ½ length. Prior to that run she won an allowance over 6F 74 and the DE BS Used to be Squirly Stakes over 6F running a 73. She will probably try and lead today and over a route will be hard to catch. Need to continue to improve and think she is more than capable

    12. 221 – Sunday Kegger (Quality Road) Owned by bkrdebutantes. Last time out she won an allowance race over todays distance at Kentucky, she stalked the pace before edging clear in the straight and holding on for ½ length victory with a nice SP of 87. Prior to that she ran 2nd in the G2 Lean Machine Stakes again stalking the pace before fading a little late beaten nearly 2 lengths running an SP of 80. Think she will be up on speed again today and if she can run up to last start and keep improving she will be in this for a long way. Definite danger.

    13. 12314 – Ignore the Noise (Nicanor) Owned by alysalley. Jockey – V.Jef. 15/1

Another filly that is trying the route for the first time and again another who likes to race on the pace. Has raced seven times already for 4 wins and 2 minors with her worst effort a 4th last time out in the G1 Getaway Stakes 7F trying to lead all the way only to fade late for 4th beaten 3 lengths running 83. Prior to that she won the G2 Horsehead Juvenile Fillies over 6.5F stalking the pace before edging clear in the straight to win by 1 ¾ lengths running 86. Her on the pace style sits with a few others in the race and with all the speed in the race it will be a stamina test. Having raced 7 times already her stamina should be top notch and I expect she will be in the finish.

    14. 1112 – Valentine Agency (Classic Empire) Owned by lenny26. This filly has never
missed the board in her 4 starts winning 3 of them. Last time out in the G1 2020 Equinics – Petra over 6F was
the first time she faced defeat running 2nd with an 81 coming from
10th and making her way through the pack although well beaten by 2
lengths in the end. The run prior was her best effort to date winning the Rich Bag Dirt Juvenile Fillies over
6.5F running an 87 and leading all the way there to win by ½ length. Depending
on where she settles in the run will go a long way in where she finishes. There
is a lot of pace in this race and if she can sit just off them she may well be
able to run home over the top.

Picks.

Big field with a lot of chances. Seems to
be a stack of pace in the race so may play to watch the swoopers finishing
hard.

10. – NY Troopers Ghost. Think she will be
flying home late and collect the prize at nice odds.

6. – Dawngoesdowntoday. Another filly who should
appreciate the fast pace and will be flying late. Huge chance.

3. –
Straightstreetcat. She toyed with her rivals last start over this distance.
Think she improves of that run and can win.

Longshot: 2. Uptown Affirmed.
