The feature race at Sweden this weekend is a long turf route race that will be over a course that has been listed as good, just slightly off as a result of the recent colt light rains over Scandanavia. The Grade II At Night Cap has drawn a talented field of 10 turf routers who will be running 1 1\/2 miles chasing down the top share of the $250,000 purse.<\/P>

1)KIRBY’S BEST YET(KY)—5\/1—<\/STRONG>kingkirby sends this 3 year old colt out of DYNAFORMER with a record of 13-9-2-0 and lifetime earnings of $1,458,190. This 2nd divisional ranked colt races for the Minnesota Downs division of the Ojai Valley Stables. This colt broke his maiden in the only start of his 2 year old season. This year he extended his winning streak to 9 after posting wins in his first 8 starts this year. Five of those wins were stakes wins including 1 on the dirt. The hilite wins were The Grade I Sydney Derby and The Grade I Derby De English at Epsom. While his streak was broken in Ontario earlier this year he has still managed to cash a cheque in every start so far in his career. He posted his lifetime best speed rating of 111 last time out while finishing 2nd in The Love That Rivers Special stakes in Eastern Kentucky which was his first liftime start against older company. This stalker\/closer was usually running a few length back of the pace in his best races and when sharp has a nice strong kick in the stretch drive. He has 1 win and 1 second place finish in off track conditions so far in his career. The rider for today’s race will be Jones (24.2%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—105<\/STRONG>.<\/P> 2)STEEL GIANT(KY)—9\/1—<\/STRONG>racer sends this 3 year old colt out of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY(IRE) with a record of 8-3-3-0 and lifetime earnings of $86,820. He is out of the mare QUEEN STEELY who was 12\/40 at the track and who has 2 foals on record with this colt being the only winner to date. This 229th divisional ranked colt races for the Tees stables based over at the EAAA racing residency. This colt was unraced as a 2 year old and broke his maiden in his 4th start of this year. He would win back to back allowance races right after that maiden win but has yet to find the winners circle in a pair of stakes races. He posted his lifetime best speed rating of 105 last time out while finishing 2nd in the 9 furlong The King Thor Memorial stakes at Queensland on a good turf. He is 1\/1 at today’s distance and display’s a versatile running style which may help him as the race unfolds today. He has raced against older in both of his last 2 starts with respectable results. The rider for today’s race will be Farthing (8.4%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—104.<\/STRONG><\/P> 3)NASUJABR(KY)—21\/1—<\/STRONG>sabbath2 sends this 3 year old colt out of AJABR with a record of 15-3-5-2 and lifetime earnings of $220,110. He is out of the mare THELI who was 11\/41 at the track and who has 6 foals on record of which 5 are winners including 1 Graded stakes winner and another stakes winner. This 20th divisional ranked colt races for the Sabbath stables based over in Ireland. This colt was winless in 5 starts as a 2 year old and broke his maiden in his 3 year old debut this year. He has added 2 allowance wins so far this year and has has a pair of top 3 finishes in Graded stakes action in his last 4 starts all Graded stake races. He posted his top speed rating of 101 while finishing 7th in The Grade I Restricted Turf Marathon in Texas. He has not been able to compete very well so far in his races against older company but does have a 2nd place finish in his only other off track start to date. This colt is a closer who usually sits at the back of the field early and saves his best run for the stretch drive. The rider for today’s race will be Young (9.8%). This 7th divisional ranked colt races for the RASH divison of the B4RCA stables. This colt had 3 wins including a pair of stake wins last year in his 2 year old season. this year he has won 4 races including The Grade II Early Months Stakes in NSW. He has raced in Grade I events in each of his last 3 starts and while he has been unable to find the winners circle has finished in the top 3 each time all against older company. He posted his lifetime best 109 speed rating last time out while finishing 3rd in The Grade I Coxless stakes over 10 furlongs on the turf in Victoria. This colt is getting a reputation as a heart attack specialist usually sitting way back and waiting for the final strides to display his explosive move. He has a 3rd place finish in his only off track start so far in his career. The rider for today’s race will be O’Shea (11.9%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—107.<\/STRONG><\/P> 5)GOLD DOORS—7\/1—<\/STRONG>crowbar sends this 4 year old colt out of TOUCH GOLD with a record of 29-8-5-9 and lifetime earnings of $983,241. He is out of the he-mare JACQUES’S DOORS who was 14\/73 at the track. This 14th divisional ranked colt races for the Ace Stables based in Ireland. This colt won his turf debut race as a 2 year old after racing in 6 starts on the dirt. He won 4 races last year including 2 stakes races, one on each surface. In 10 starts this year he has finished in the top 3 every time including 3 overnite stake wins. He has twice posted his lifetime best 104 speed rating in his last 4 starts, the most recent coming 2 starts back in a 2nd place finish in The Grade I Canada Turf. This closer is a very consistant runner who is almost alway’s a lock to finish in the top 3 every time out. He has 1 win in 3 off track starts to date so far in his career. The rider for today’s race will be Jacobsson (12%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—103.<\/STRONG><\/P> 6)TETE OF OZ(IRE)—8\/1—<\/STRONG>jacobsson sends this 4 year old colt out of MOON BALLAD(IRE) with a record of 30-7-5-7 and lifetime earnings of $266,161. He is out of the he-mare BLOW THE MAN DOWN who was 6\/26 at the track. This 79th divisional ranked colt is the 2nd entry in this race from the Sabbath stables that are based over in Ireland. This colt was 0\/4 as a 2 year old but broke his maiden in his 3 year old debut last year. After failing to improve after his first win he was switched to the dirt track for the remainder of his 3 year old season where he picked up 3 allowance wins on the sandy surface. He switched back to the turf this year and has won 3 races including 2 stakes races so far in his 4 year old campaign. He posted his lifetime best 105 speed rating while finishing 2nd in The Grade III Capital’s Major Price stakes earlier this year right here in Sweden over the 9.5 furlong turf race. This colt is one of about 4 who may vie for the early lead here today and he will have the inside post edge on the other speed horses here today. He has a win and a third place finish in 2 off track starts so far in his career. The rider for today’s race will be Ibrox (7.2%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—97.<\/STRONG><\/P> 7)TOTAL CHAOS—7\/1—<\/STRONG>benttree sends this 4 year old colt out of RAHY with a record of 18-8-6-1 and lifetime earnings of $2,869,040. This 4th divisional ranked colt races for the unafilliated Remiller66 stables. This colt was winless in his only start as a 2 year old and after starting in a pair of dirt races to start last year switched back to the turf for his maiden win. He would add 4 more wins to his record last year including 2 overnite stake races. In his 7 starts this year, all Graded stakes races, he has finished in the top 3 every time. Three of those races have been wins including his last 2 starts in The Grade II Longchamp Marathon and The Grade I Millwood Cup, both run at 16 furlongs on the turf.\u00a0 He posted his lifetime best 106 speed rating earlier this year while finishing 2nd in The Grade II CEO Classic. This colt races best as a stalker sitting just slightly off the early pace albeit he did wire the field last time out in NSW. He has won his only start on an off track to date in his career. PROJECTED SPEED RATING—103.<\/STRONG><\/P> 8)KINGS OVER ACES(IRE)—4\/1—<\/STRONG>attalaq sends this 4 year old colt out of KING OF KINGS(IRE) with a record of 33-12-9-8 and lifetime earnings of $468,079. He is out of the mare A.P. MAMBO who was 1\/17 at the track and who has 5 foals on record of which 3 are winners including 2 stakes winners. This 72nd divisional ranked colt races for the Ozsteve stables based over in Ireland. This colt broke his maiden on the dirt in his lifetime debut as a 2 year old but was switched to the turf in his 3rd start and did win a turf allowance in his innaugural season which was a heavy 11 race camaign. He won his first 4 starts of his 3 year old season last year on route to 7 wins for the year including 4 overnite stake races. He has picked up 3 wins so far this year including 2 stakes wins and will be looking for his first Graded stakes win of his career today. He posted his lifetime best 107 speed rating 3 starts back while winning The Sleezy Pass stakes over 11 furlongs on the turf in Tennessee. This colt is a closer who can either sit midpack or at the back of the field and save his best run for the stretch drive. He has posted a win and a second place finish in off track starts so far in his career. The rider for today’s race will be Ratzlaff (7.5%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—105.<\/STRONG><\/P> 9)TETE NOVEMBER(IRE)—10\/1—<\/STRONG>therion sends this 6 year old horse out of NOVERRE(IRE) with a record of 44-12-10-10 and lifetime earnings of $1,153,190. This 120th divisonal ranked horse is the third entry for the Sabbath stables based in Ireland, who have 30% of the starting field coming out of their barns. This colt was 2\/2 in his 2 year old season and picked up 2 more allowance wins as a 3 year old. He picked up 5 wins as a 4 year old including 4 stakes of which 3 were Graded events. Last year he picked up a pair of Grade II wins for the year and has added another this year when he defended his title in The Grade II Merced Stakes right here in Sweden. He comes into this race as the defending champion after wiring a 9 horse field in this fixture last year. He twice posted his lifetime best 113 speed rating in his career, both of those coming in the 2005 racing season. This front running horse has had a difficult time in his last 3 starts suggesting the long career may be finally taking it’s toll but if any of his back class comes to lite today he will be a difficult horse to deal with at what has become his favorite venue to run in. This will be the first race he has stretched out to 12 furlongs since running in this stakes a year ago. He is 0\/1 on off tracks lifetime. The rider for today’s race will be Marts (6.9%). PROJECTED SPEED RATING—96.<\/STRONG><\/P> 10)KAFZIEL TETE(GB)—8\/1—<\/STRONG>cyprus sends this 4 year old colt out of DIESIS(GB) with a record of 13-5-4-1 and lifetime earnings of $302,314. This 49th divisional ranked colt races for Euroalien’s Ridgecrest Champions stables located at the EAAA racing residency. This colt was unraced as a 2 year old and only races twice in his 3 year old season breaking his maiden in his 2nd lifetime start. After failing to win in a pair of allowance races on either the turf or dirt tracks he was entered into a $50K claiming race where his current connections picked him up out of the claiming box. He has 4 wins and 2 second place finishes since that claim hilited by a win in The Grade II Big City Handicap in NSW where he posted his lifetime best 106 speed rating. This speedy colt will have to try for the lead from the outside post and there are a few others who will be up front with him here today. This will be his first start in off track conditions today.
