The Alpine Turf Club is a small but friendly resi nestled in the glorious mountains of central Europe<\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Club members hale from, literally, all over the globe.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Owners\u2019 homes include California, South Africa, England, Oklohoma, Switzerland, New Zealand, Texas(proving they\u2019ll take ANYBODY!), and Australia.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

The group stays relatively small and allows only two member stables per owner.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>From it\u2019s humble beginnings with mostly claimers in the club stables, the resi\u2019s runners have really jumped in class in recent years, with several Grade 1 winners to it\u2019s credit.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>But this resi is as much about community as it is about racing!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I guarantee that owners will be cheering just as strong for their mates\u2019 horses as for their own!<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

Let\u2019s have a look at some of the Champions Day cards and check out some of the favorites in each race.<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

1.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/FONT><\/FONT>3434.3515<\/FONT><\/A>– 2yo 8f dirt <\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This looks like a two horse race\u2026but hey!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We\u2019re a TURF club for cryin\u2019 out loud! Newcomer to the ATC, snowchief<\/I>, looks the favorite with her colt, Garden Society(ENG)<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is a G2 winner with a nice career high 96SF under his belt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The other horse<\/I> in this race is foxon\u2019s<\/I> Change of Scenery(IRE)<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With only three starts, this is a major step up for this young colt, but he seems to have the speed to give Garden Society a nice challenge.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

2. <\/FONT>3434.3516<\/FONT><\/A>– 2yo 8f turf<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The 2yo turf race looks to be a much tighter affair.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Foxon<\/I> has the favorite in this one with Franklin Terrace(IRE)<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This colt is something special finishing no worse than second in his six starts!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>OkDavid\u2019s<\/I> PivotintheSaddle<\/B> will try to run down the favorite from off the pace!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Punter\u2019s will like the odds on Stlcards\u2019<\/I> Alpine Wonder(IRE)<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This \u2018wonder\u2019 mare has been dominating in the ATC 2yo Series this year, but it\u2019s been hard to read just how much she\u2019s got in the tank.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This race should give us a better idea!<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

3. 3434.5815- 7f turf<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Germany<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> is home to the two sprints on the Champions Day race card.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In the turf sprint Givelovetheboot<\/B> is the major favorite.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Dragnil\u2019s<\/I> horse boasts a career best 111SF and won his last Stakes race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019ll be looking over his shoulder for the customary late charge of Muadib<\/B>, trained by the worst trainer in the ATC, eddieboo<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This could be the last race in what has been a rock solid career for the son of War Chant.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

4. 3434.5816- 6f dirt<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Surprisingly, the dirt sprint looks to be a tight affair with some high quality horse in the mix. Eddieboo\u2019s<\/I> mare, Southern Twang<\/B>, is the 7\/2 favorite.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This is surprising\u00a0because of\u00a0the 111SF lto posted by alphonso\u2019s<\/I> SAT Test<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It will be interesting to see if this 3yo son of Aptitude can get it done against older horses.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>For those betters looking for more bang for their buck, look no further than Alpine Pinnacle<\/B> trained by one of the club favorites, pekays<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Pekays always has a cheery remark for everyone, and I\u2019m sure the owners in the clubhouse will be pulling for an upset for his mare in this one!<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

5. 3434.6316- 8f turf<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Turf Mile features another clubhouse favorite of the ATC, Mr. Inconspicuous<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This 3yo was last year\u2019s dominate horse in the ATC 2yo series and has certainly continued his form in his sophomore campaign, including a career best 112SF in his last race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Foxon<\/I> will be hoping for continued success for his colt in this one.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>To do so, he\u2019ll have to nose out Dragnil\u2019s<\/I> mare Blue White<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Blue White managed a second place finish in the World Cup two starts ago.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

6. 3434.6216- 9f turf<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The main event for the ladies features three girls with speed to burn!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This may be the most hotly contested race on the card.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The field is led by eddieboo\u2019s<\/I> Indy Rock Senor<\/B>, winner of the World Cup F&M 9f turf race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This daughter of Rock of Gibraltar is running at her favorite distance and will present a tough task.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Miswaki\u2019s Last<\/B>, trained by worldview<\/I>, has the speed to handle just such a task.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She won the ATC Turf Mile last year, and is riding a red-hot streak right now! Dragnil\u2019s<\/I> Bling(SAF)<\/B> has all the speed it takes if the two favorites stumble.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This blazing daughter of Horse Chestnut is a stalwart for this awesome South African trainer!<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

7. 3434.8716- 12f turf<\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The crown jewel in the Champions Day card is the Turf Classic.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This year it looks like the ATC founder, DeltaTiger<\/I>, might just run away with the whole thing!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The sentimental and odds-on favorite is her 4yo colt El Fredo<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Fredo carries the hopes of the DT stables and the legacy of his namesake, Fred the cat.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>You can be sure that this writer will be standing on the rail cheering Fredo home on Saturday!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If Fredo stumbles, Delta\u2019s is covered with second favorite, Cozy Delta<\/B>.\u00a0 With all that she\u00a0does for the SIM, much less the ATC, nobody deserves to win the big one more than DT!\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If you\u2019re looking for some longer odds, try daisymaisha\u2019s<\/I> The Gas Guzzler<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>At 9\/1, this son of Fantastic Light will leap to the front and try to hang on against DT\u2019s double-barreled assault!<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/P>

\u00a0<\/FONT><\/o:p><\/P>

So that\u2019s it!
