It was an angry Aggulotto (lado) who today refuted claims that both himself and Wolfgang Vansheen had been involved in illegal training operations with Luca Gilberto.<\/p>\n
Deyoto Lefranse and Captain Nog have both requested an inquiry into the set-up. Stewards have asked for a statement from Giunluigi Aggulotto, Wolfgang Vansheen and Luca Gilberto that ensures that \u201cGilberto does in fact own these horses and that he does have a vested interest in the stables\u201d. <\/p>\n
He had this to say, \u201cI am not surprised that Deyoto Lefranse has decided to stir up trouble. He tried this just before the Conglomerate Ruby Slipper last year and put me off my stride and is attempting to do so again\u201d. Aggulotto went on to say, \u201cLefranse is a serial pest and these allegations are unsubstantiated. He has done very little research into the daily operations at the new stables and clearly has no basis for these latest rounds of accusations\u201d. <\/p>\n
Neville Jannette from Online Racing News has today released these facts obtained under the Freedom of Information Act (1998):<\/p>\n
A) The horses in the Gilberto stables are 100% owned by Gilberto and were purchased at the local markets for varying costs or exchanged for food stamps.<\/p>\n
B) The horses in the Gilberto stables are 100% trained by Gilberto and he controls their work or lack of.<\/p>\n
C) The horses in the Gilberto stables are 100% raced by Gilberto and advice as to the most suitable races is obtained through Giunluigi Aggulotto and Wolfgang Vansheen.<\/p>\n
D) As Giunluigi Aggulotto is the head trainer of Briant Breeding & Racing Empire, he controls the breeding of the horses at his stud farm in Essendon, Victoria.<\/p>\n
E) Entry for Gilberto\u2019s horses in the Conglomerate Christmas Slipper was paid by Giunluigi Aggulotto. The pair have a deal that sees Gilberto reimbursed for storage of Aggulotto\u2019s G1 winning trophies and associated winnings. <\/p>\n
These facts have been presented to the stewards enquiry with Aggulotto, Vansheen and Gilberto all confident that the committee will see it fit to reverse the charges and instead launch an enquiry into Deyoto Lefranse and Captain Nog for bringing the Conglomerate into disrepute.<\/p>\n
With just nine days until the running of the Conglomerate Christmas Slipper Preludes, Aggulotto said, \u201cit is every trainer for himself and with the team I have assembled, I don\u2019t need any help.
