This Saturday in France the crowed gathered witnessed the running of the Black Lable Mile for four year olds. The weather was fine, as expected for this weekend with the dirt track listed as fast at post time. The field of eleven made their way down to the starting gates. San Jovite<\/b>, owned by angeli<\/i> was a little nervous going into the starting gate but was quickly settled and loaded into the gate. Tense moments past as the horses and assigned jockeys anticipated the beginning of the race.
Breaking sharply out of the gate and taking the field by a four-length storm was favorite Halo Me Down<\/b>, owned by sdmf4<\/i>. Four lengths back in second was mrvoice<\/i> trained Bobcat Bay<\/b>. Along in third was Speightsband<\/b>, owned and trained by stoneface<\/i>. Back in fourth and fifth were Shakelo<\/b> and Lowlands Mystic<\/b>, trained and owned by xanth1<\/i> and wonder1<\/i>, respectively. Breaking last out of the gate was lasthope<\/i> trained Blessed Road<\/b>.
Halo Me Down<\/b> lengthened his lead to six and one-fourth lengths over Bobcat Bay<\/b> with Speightsband<\/b> still running in third. Lowlands Mystic<\/b> had moved up from fifth and was now into fourth place with Cheiron (IRE)<\/b>, owned by super26<\/i>, moving up into fifth. Former fourth-place runner Shakelo<\/b> was now dropping back into sixth. Still trailing the field fourteen lengths back was Blessed Road<\/b>.
Into the turn it was Halo Me Down<\/b> in the lead by six lengths over Bobcat Bay<\/b>. Speightsband<\/b> was still running in third with Cheiron (IRE)<\/b> making his move now and sneaking up into fourth. Lowlands Mystic<\/b> had dropped back down into fifth with Intergalactic<\/b>, trained by eddie72<\/i>, making a move now as well on the outside and was charging forward in sixth. Maintaining position in seventh was San Jovite<\/b> with Blessed Road<\/b> now coming from the back of the pack and running in eighth. Starting to make a slight move on the far outside was funster<\/i> trained Depravity<\/b>. Shakelo<\/b> had dropped back to tenth now with mrhwi2<\/i> trained Vetinari\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Vixen<\/b> trailing the field as they came for home.
They were drawing closer and closer to the wire now with pace-stalking Cheiron (IRE)<\/b> closing in the gap between him and favorite Halo Me Down<\/b>. But at the wire it was a determined Halo Me Down<\/b> to hold off the onslaught by Cheiron (IRE)<\/b> and win by a length with a speed figure of one hundred eleven with Cheiron (IRE)<\/b> right behind in second. Intergalactic<\/b> finished third.
