The inaugural Millwood Cup Stakes ended up pretty much the way I had predicted it in my preview except that TOTAL CHAOS <\/b> who I had chosen second jumped out to an early lead and never looked back winning easily by more than four lengths over my choice BAND OF BUDAS <\/b>. \u201cCHAOS\u201d got so far out front of all of the late closers that it was all in vain for the rest as he was able to hold on and win here in New South Wales this weekend.<\/p>\n

In the end, it was nearly a perfect race for TOTAL CHAOS <\/b> who under top jockey R.Dowell got out to the front and down along the rail to fend off all takers. That enabled him to gain his8th victory in only 18 tries along with 6 second place finishes and 15 of 15 on the board on the turf. He has now won two consecutive Graded races and three in a row at this distance. He has over a million in earnings for trainer BentTree and thre Remiller66 Stables and looks like he is going to really be a formidable marathoner. He finished up with what will now be the Stakes record 3:30 and a 98 SPF. He now has five Stakes wins and has solidified his Top Ten ranking in the turf long class. <\/p>\n

It was really a one horse race for our winner until BAND OF BUDAS <\/b>, GOLD DOORS <\/b> and TILT A WHIRL <\/b>, finding themselves nearly 15 lengths back decided it was time to get it in gear. None could catch \u201cCHAOS\u201d though and finished behind him in that order.<\/p>\n

It appears that BentTree has quite a special horse in the stable and has to be really excited about the prospects of this beautiful light grey colt. I for one will be watching and admiring this big guy as he continues on his quest to be known as the Sim\u2019s best marathoner.<\/p>\n
