Grade: Allowance

Track: Texas

Restrictions: 3 Year Olds and Older

Distance: 6.5 Furlongs

Surface: Fast Dirt

Purse: $43,800

Post Time: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 7:20pm

I found this Allowance of which today I am going to write up as I continue to test out the issues that I am having since the BTB changes. I hope the article is able to be published. This will hopefully assist me in figuring out the next step in a resolution to my issues that I am having getting my articles posted in BTB.

This is a nice little Allowance race going off in Texas for those horses that are 3 years old and Older going across a Fast Dirt track at a distance of 6.5 furlongs. A field of seven horses will be taking to the track for this sprint event under the lights in Texas in this late evening outing. The odds makers have set their morning line and post positions have been drawn. Let us now take a quick preview of this field of Allowance entries here in Texas.

Horse/Odds, Sire, Owner, Jockey

1. Frightening Noise 6/1, Conquest Curlinate, jbcri46, C Shoemaker

This 4 year old colt has racked up five wins in fifteen career starts. His last trip to the track in Argentina on 09/14/2019 was not a kind trip for him when he went 8.25 furlongs in a NW4x Allowance race. He showed up at the wire way late and was over 13 lengths back. The step back down to this shorter distance looks good for him and should warrant a better trip.

2. Looknow 5/2, Lookin At Lucky, fishstix7, J Webb

This Lookin At Lucky colt has been running at various distance from short and long. He seems to enjoy that 7 to 9 furlong range and I question if this race will be a little too short for this co-favorite in the morning line who likes being just off the pace before closing at the wire.

3. Yreka 6/1, Speightstown, browneyes, Wa Robinson

He is coming in after a nice Allowance win in Washington of which he traveled the same 6.5 furlong distance. This 6 to 6.5 distance seems to suit him best and he has only been off the boards one time since February at these distances. He has been looking sharp and could be a horse to watch for in the rear view mirror after the third call.

4. Conterfeit Humour 7/2, Distorted Humor, golf, G Merkins

His last trip to the track on 07/21/2019 in Oklahoma was not kind to him at a distance of 5.5 furlongs which seemed a little short for this 5 year old horse. He hit the wire in 7th place and was over 3 lengths back at the wire. I think a little added distance for this race will help him here in Texas.

5. Awesome Jason 6/1, Awesone Again , jason,J Chapman

This 4 year old son of Awesome Again has mainly worked his way around the Poly surfaces in his career thus far with a few transitions back to the dirt. He is coming off a big loss in New York on the Poly in a $65,700 NW5L Allowance where he took a nose dive at 8 furlongs and showed up a distant 10th at the wire. This shorter distance may help him as he attempts to get back on track here on the dirt in Texas.

6. PNC Park 12/1, Petionville, perko49, T Ace

I do not know of PNC stands for the popular bank headquartered here in Louisville, KY or not? But this horse will need that strong whip of seasoned jockey T Ace to take a check to the bank. He has mainly been running in Claiming and Starter Allowance races and when trying to step up in his last outing in Massachusetts in a Local small priced Allowance race he found much disappointment. I feel the odds makers where pretty fair in making him the longest choice in this field.

7. Fame Is Relative 5/2, Empire Maker, fairhaven5, Pa Williams

The other co-favorite in this field should not be harmed by the post draw as he tends to close late. The distance looks favorable for this horse sired by Empire Maker and should be watched for after the third call. He has consistently been putting up triple digit speed ratings. His last outing was here in Texas where he just missed hitting the boards coming in a disappointing 4 lengths back.

Good luck to all horses and all owners of this race. Most importantly have fun!!!

Skippy’s Watch List

Yreka: You have to like his track record since February in hitting the boards.

Fame Is Relative: Very consistent triple digit speed ratings should help him getting to the wire.

Counterfeit Humour: Last race looked too short for him. I look for him to rebound.

Tarton’s Long Shot

Awesome Jason: I will give him a shot on some of my exotic tickets in this race.

Grade: Allowance Track: Texas Restrictions: 3 Year Olds and Older Distance: 6.5 Furlongs Surface: Fast Dirt Purse: $43,800

[2

post-50387","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews
["GET
