After last week, with four wins coming from four runners with a stake win, this week was much of a let down. \u00a0 The stable had three go to post and all three walked back to the stable with their heads hanging low.\u00a0 As for me, I was shaking my head and wiping the tears from my eyes.<\/p>\n
HENNY\u00a0 YOUGMAN made his second start for the stable and has a long history of being a capable runner on both the turf and dirt.\u00a0 This week was a dirt run in the starter allowance class. \u00a0 At 4\/1 odds, he was tagged as the third best betting choice in the field. \u00a0 He found good positioning running third and waited patiently to make a move in the 8.5 furlong race.\u00a0 He took hold of the lead midway around the final turn.\u00a0 It was the stretch run that did him in as the two horses in the rear of the field came on strong and took Henny down (both longshots too). \u00a0\u00a0 He finished third which was respectful and his speed setting is at 65 which looks to be a good fit, at least for now. \u00a0\u00a0 Only 5 BP’s for the race and a pair of cards for the larger field which flopped out as G’s.<\/p>\n
RESERVATION FOR ME was sent to the farm for a rest of about three months after pulling some good results and a rest break seemed reasonable.\u00a0 He came back in a 10 furlong claiming race with a purchase price of $60,000. \u00a0 His race was rather mediocre in a field that contained only 6 runners.\u00a0 He did finish third, some four off the lead and was never a real threat.\u00a0 However, the speed number of 95 is very promising and hopefully he will be back in top form with his next race. \u00a0 One sire card, another G.\u00a0 12 BP’s were also collected.<\/p>\n
TETE BISMARK was the only one off the board this week.\u00a0 After a second and fourth place finishes on the dirt, he was returned to the turf in a 9-furlong starter allowance event.\u00a0 A relatively large field of 12 entered the race and Tete looked competitive early on, holding the third spot for a good chunk of the race.\u00a0 But the final quarter would do him in as he had nothing to offer and tailed off to finish sixth. \u00a0 No BP’s for that finish and one G-card just for walking around the track.<\/p>\n
Only picked up 4 G-cards this week and that gets added to the one already on hand to make 5, which have been traded up for an F-card. \u00a0 The cards that are on hand include:\u00a0 3-D\u2019s, 3-E’s, and 4-F’s .\u00a0 The cards have really slowed down in growing.<\/p>\n
