Molinera Early Favorite For Cavalcade Juvy Turf<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

California<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> – The smoke makes it hard to breathe but with some off shore breezes scheduled to come in, things should be fine for Saturday’s Cavalcade Cup races.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Juvenile Filly Turf <\/I><\/B>will go as race seven on the card and this is the first time any of the entrants have ever run distance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Only six owners entered for this $250,000 event and it is a pretty wide open race for these 2YO fillies.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Here is the field by post position.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Gate number one will hold all of Read These Shoes<\/B> (7\/1) a huge daughter of Badge Of Silver.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trained by 6ward,<\/I><\/B> Read These Shoes<\/B> has finished in the money in three of her four turf starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has only a maiden win but finished second last time out in The Can Frazzetto<\/I>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has faced tougher but did not fare well finishing 12th<\/SUP> of 14 in the Grade I, Filly Grand Prix<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She could surprise me, but she doesn’t appear to want the distance although she should like the class drop.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Mrs. MC Nabb<\/SPAN><\/B> (7\/2) is a 2 YO, bay filly by Singletary.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This very nice gal is 6\/7 in the money and has two wins including last time out in a mile allowance.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trained by Signfeld<\/I><\/B>, she seems to be coming into her own and stands a good chance in this race at nice odds.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Viscount will be represented by Cringeworthy <\/B>(5\/1) who must have been named when she was born with very crooked legs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She handles them well, though again the distance may be a troublemaker for her.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is 2\/3 in the money on the turf and is another that only has a maiden win under her belt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is back on the grass after two tries over the main track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Marmac<\/I><\/B> trains this filly and rumor has it that she has been training well.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Molinera<\/SPAN><\/B> (2\/1) is the morning line favorite and has won three of her seven starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She finished 5th<\/SUP> last time out in the Grade I, World Cup Juvenile<\/I><\/B> at six furlongs with a career high speed figure of 88.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has wins in The Oriana<\/I> and The Boundry Smoke<\/I> but this will be her first time at a distance of over seven furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The 2 YO red daughter of Tiger Hill is trained by Triska<\/I><\/B>.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Post five goes to Rahy’s Broad<\/B> (4\/1), a dark bay daughter of – who else, but Rahy.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trimmed in white she has won two and is 5\/6 in the money.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She should relish the extra distance and with her improving speed figures may be the one to beat.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was a closing third in The Sal’s Mile<\/I> two back, and came from far back to win last time out.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is trained by Pointblank<\/I><\/B> who told me, point blank, that she was the winner.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

On the outside will be Broken Boarders<\/B> (5\/2) a 2 YO bay filly by Ghostzapper.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Although she is still a maiden and has never run on the grass, she did finish second last time out at a mile over the main track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is trained by Valleyfarm<\/I><\/B> and although she is well bred she is also unknown and has a lot of questions to answer.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>
