It\u2019s starting to cool off a bit here in Florida but these pretty young fillies aren\u2019t cooling off any. We have a really nice field of up and comers. A little bit surprising as a side note, in this time of open breeding, there are very few of these ladies bred to retired mares, almost all are scratch breds. It looks to be an entertaining race so let\u2019s take a look:<\/font><\/p>\n

He is looking like a bit of a surprise sire-wise. This lady has been his best of his freshman crop with 9 of 19 wins including seven Stakes wins one of which was a GII. She has been just a bit off her game lately with three consecutive without a win but she was still solid in those races. Trainer Simon1966 has Gardner in the saddle and he is probably the tracks best. It may be tough to defeat this team although I don\u2019t believe the inside post will help out her stalking style. <\/p>\n

Trainer Bravequest and Eirenn Shady Business Farm is waiting for a breakout race for the young lady. She Likes to come from the back and just hasn\u2019t been hitting that extra gear. She has Ausilo in the leather and he is battling his own personal demons this year with a paltry 8% win percentage. She may break out at any time or be a late bloomer that doesn\u2019t really hit her mark until her fourth year. <\/p>\n

This filly is one of the exceptions with both a Stakes and Graded win earlier this year. She has frustrated trainer Buffy7 and Winterfell Racing Stables since that last win with three consecutive lackluster races. She seems to like this distance better and a good race could be in the offing with a solid jockey up and plenty of energy left over from her walk last time out. Could surprise a bit here.<\/p>\n

Although there have been several near misses, she is still looking for that first Stakes win. She has been solid with her front running style and triple digit SPFs but seems to just run out of steam at the end when she needs to put it into that last gear. Jockey Lincoln is good for these youngsters with a nice record and may be able to push her at the end.<\/p>\n

It appears the weatherman will not cooperate however as the forecast call for sunny and warm. She had three consecutive wins before the Worlds and would love to get back on track here. It remains to be seen what her favorite distance is as she has done well at 7F and looked solid if unspectacular at 9F. This race could answer a few questions for the Rafa crew.<\/p>\n

That may be at a mile and a half which seems to be her favorite but she can certainly run at this distance as well. She loves the front and jockey Bellows will try to guide her there from the six hole. He hasn\u2019t been guiding much this year with a sub 10% win rate. That could be her biggest drawback in this race, dragging around the jockey.<\/p>\n

Lilbitfarms Stables always seem to know just how to bring these young horses along and she may be the latest big thing from that stable. She will want to get to the front and there is plenty of early speed in this group. Jockey Case will have his hands full in trying to guide this girl without tiring her out before the stretch run.<\/p>\n

The fact that she is a stalker may suit her if jockey Maire can get her tucked in behind all of the early speed in this field. He has had a really nice year and should be up to the task if this girl can find a bit of extra speed. <\/p>\n

At times she has looked spectacular and other times like she wasn\u2019t interested. She hasn\u2019t won since May but has had a couple of near misses. She certainly has the speed to compete in this group but the magic hands of jockey Bucheta will need to make sure that she keeps those ears up and nose pointed toward the wire. This team certainly has the capability of winning the race if they can get it all together. <\/p>\n

Trainer and owner EJDStable has brought her along slowly but obviously is ready to watch her step up. Their gaudy win percentage shows that they surely know how to saddle them up and perhaps this is the perfect spot for this girl to begin her Graded career. She generally likes the front end and that could be tough here from the outside with plenty of early speed in the race. Bauman is in the irons and is quite capable of guiding this girl to the a spot on the board.<\/p>\n

I want to see how VIKING QUEEN <\/b> bounces back from that big SPF last race so I\u2019ve got her penned to finish fourth although she may finish much better. RULER SLEW <\/b> looks to me to be more of a mile and a half runner but I think she has enough to finish in the top three. ADRIANNA <\/b> should be in the lead at the top of the stretch but I think that REGATTA <\/b> will pass her in the stretch and claim the win. She looks to be the beneficiary of a lot of early speed horses tiring each other out and letting her sneak by for the win.<\/p>\n
