The turf is firm and we have a prize fund of $90000 which has only attracted a miserly field of four. Three of these have never before seen the racecourse, although we do have a couple of nice types. Based on a grade G horse. Purple bred mare acts as a yardstick in this race. Ran best speed figure lto when outclassed in an eight furlongs grade 1 at this very track. He faded from halfway to be beaten 10 1\/4 lengths but returned a pb 69. She was stakes placed in her second run at Hong Kong when going under over six furlongs turf, always handy beaten 1 1\/4 lengths and returning with a 65 speed figure. Whatever finishes in front of her today may be a half decent runner.<\/p>\n
