1)DANCIN IN SEATTLE—5\/1—<\/STRONG>eliza sends this 6 year old horse out of DANZIG with a record of 38-9-4-7 and lifetime earnings of $1,814,878. He is out of the he-mare SENOR SEA who was 3\/46 at the track. This 24th divisional ranked horse races for the unafilliated Mv4ever stables. This horse broke his maiden in his final race as a 2 year old in his 4th start, won an allowance race at 3 but did finish in the top 3 in several Grades stakes that year. He picked up two Grade I wins in his 4 year old season and added another pair of stakes wins including his 3rd Grade I win last year. In his 3 wins this year he has won an allowance, an overnite stakes and picked up his 4th Grade I win in The Grade I The U Want A Piece Of Me? Stakes in Ireland where he posted a 106 speed rating over 12 furlongs on a good turf which is just 3 points shy of his lifetime best rating posted in 2005. This talented horse has had a tough time in his last few starts where he has been unable to carry his speed and has faded in the stretch drive. If he can rekindle some of his previous years magic his class could help him produce an upset here today. He will cut the early fractions but may have company there today and that may hurt him when the real running starts in the stretch drive. The rider for today’s race will be Painter (11%).<\/P> 2)EXPECTED YIELD—7\/1—<\/STRONG>super8 sends this 4 year old colt out of HIGH YIELD with a record of 28-6-8-4 and lifetime earnings of $263,918. He is out of the mare WONDER EXPECT who was 0\/1 at the track and who has 4 foals on record of which 3 are winners including 1 stakes winner. This 57th divisional ranked colt races for The More Evil Than The Evil Empire Stables managed by the Super Conglomerate of Trainers based over at Del\/Penn National. This colt broke his maiden as a 2 year old in his turf race debut after starting on the dirt in his first 4 lifetime races. He picked up a pair of allowance wins last year in a good but unremarkable season of racing. He picked up his game this year and has posted 3 more wins including a pair of overnite stakes races. He comes into this race after posting his lifetime best 102 speed rating last time out while finishing 3rd in The Grade II Horseshoe Falls Stakes over 12 furlongs on the turf in Ontario. This horse will be joining DANCIN IN SEATTLE on the front end which should ensure an honest pace for today’s race. While never winning at the mile and a half distance yet in his career he has won several longer races and the early pace should show whether this one will have anything left in the stretch run. The rider for today’s race will be Dirks (12.4%).<\/P> 3)STUNNING BLOW(IRE)—3\/1—<\/STRONG>latte sends this 4 year old colt out of THEATRICAL(IRE) with a record of 19-5-3-5 and lifetime earnings of $319,075. This 42nd divisional ranked colt races for the Toplight Stables based over at the EAAA racing Association. This colt was unraced as a 2 year old and picked up his first stakes win in his 3rd lifetime start last year. While posting several top 3 finishes he would not win again until his 2007 debut this year. He has picked up a pair of overnite stakes race wins this season but is still looking for his 1st Graded stakes win today albeit he has had a pair of top 3 finished already this season. He posted his lifetime best 110 speed rating earlier this year while finishing 3rd in The Grade I United Countries Handicap over 11 furlongs on the turf in New Jersey. He has had a tough time in his last 2 races, both Grade I stakes, where he has been unable to sustain his bid and has faded in the stretch drive. Both of those races were shorter than today and he will have to reverse that trend if he is to be a challenger for the win here today. He is a stalker who is expected to sit a few lengths behing the early pacesetters today. The rider for today’s race will be Child (13.4%).<\/P> 4)ROCKFLYS DANCER(IRE)—51\/1—<\/STRONG>y2j sends this 6 year old horse out of ROCK OF GIBRALTER(IRE) with a record of 64-18-6-13 and lifetime earnings of $284,702. He is out of the he-mare LOMO DANCER who was 5\/51 at the track. This 192nd divisional ranked horse races for Belair Stud based over at the GR Simsters. This horse is seeing the 9th ownership group in his career after his current connections purchased this horse at the auction for $1,250,000 this past summer. Up until this past winter he has raced mostly in the claiming ranks and has run for as low as a $5K tag previously in his career. His immediate previous owners took advantage of short field stakes races to pick up some minor cheques in black type races. His current owners have yet to find the right switch with this one either trying a pair of dirt races but did pick up a 2nd place finish in a short field stakes 2 starts back. He has never posted a triple digit speed rating to date and one has to imagine that this horse was purchased to take advantage of the new medical techniques that have been developed by Dr Mike Wallace at the Simulated Sports Equine Clinic for future breeding possibilities. If he does\u00a0happen to finish in the top 3 here today his backers would be rewarded with some very generous payouts. The rider for today’s race will be Steff (9%).<\/P> 5)SIMULATION KING(IRE)—3\/1<\/STRONG>—champions4 sends this 4 year old colt out of DESERT KING(IRE) with a record of 13-8-2-0 and lifetime\u00a0earnings of $690,775. This 17th divisional ranked colt races for the World Renowned BadBoy Stoners who has set up shop at the Global Runners residency. \u00a0While this colt is also a recent auction buy at $5,693,103 that purchase appears to be simply an internal money transfer transaction as he simply switched stables in the same ownership group. This colt was unraced as a 2 year old and picked up 3 wins in 4 starts, all allowance races last year. He has picked up 5 wins this year including 2 allowance wins, an overnite stakes race and 2 Graded stakes wins including The Grade I Lots of Luck Stakes in Ireland. He posted his lifetime best 106 speed rating earlier this year while winning the 10 furlong The Mine Senor Handicap Stakes in Wisconsin. He did not look good in his last start and that may have been attributed to his race previous where he tried cutting the fractions for the first time in his career and ended up blowing a 5 length lead in the stretch drive. Hopefully his last was a bounce from that pace setting try and today he will return to his more succesfull closing style sitting at the back of the pack early and saving his best run for the latter part of the race. He is a multiple race winner at today’s 12 furlong distance. The rider for today’s race will be Williams (15%).<\/P> 6)ANOTHER TENPIN TAP—8\/5—<\/STRONG>tenpin6 sends this 4 year old colt out of SEEKING THE GOLD with a record of 17-7-6-2 and lifetime earnings of $883,564. This 15th divisional ranked colt races for the Great Plains Residency division of the Rockriver Stables. This colt was unraced as a 2 year old and won his debut race last year. He added a couple of more allowance race wins last season and has 4 wins this year including a pair of overnite stakes races. He enters this race having raced in 4 straight Graded Stakes races and while having not won one yet has finished in the top 3 in all four of those starts. He posted his lifetime best 109 speed rating last time out while finishing 2nd in The Grade I Man of War Stakes right here in New York. He did have the lead in that race at the top of the stretch but was unable to hold onto the win in the stretch drive. He has finished in the top 3 in each of his last 7 starts and that has made him the heavy favorite for today’s race. While he has cut the early fractions in other short field races it is expected that he may sit just of the early frontrunners here and stalk the pace saving his best run for the final turn. He has proven to be a very capable runner at today’s distance. The rider for today’s race will be Lawton (23.2%) who is leading the riding standing in New York this season and will be an improvement over this colt rider in his previous race.<\/P> 7)SPATULA PAINT—14\/1—<\/STRONG>erenhaack sends this 8 year old horse out of OUR HERO with a record of 26-10-3-4 and lifetime earnings of $148,078. This 594th divisional ranked horse races for the Otto Haack Racing Company that is based over at the Hispano Parlante racing residency. After briefly making it to the track in the 02, 03 and 04 season the current connections took over this horse in 2005 when he was included in a new stable purchase. He has proven to be a reliable runner in the claiming, starter allowance and allowance ranks. His only stakes start in his career came earlier this year when he finished 5th beaten 22 lengths in a long 16 furlong turf route in Germany.\u00a0 He has yet to post a triple digit speed rating in his career and while he gives his best in every run it may be a bit much asking this oldtimer to compete with some of the others here today. In any event should he upset and finish in the top 3 today it would also reward his backers with some nice mutual prices. The rider for today’s race will be Davis (11.6%).<\/P> Track management has put the blame on the recent World Cup Racing Series for the low turnout in this race today but it should still provide some entertainment for the racing fans. While many here are not running at their peak form to date I believe that the two inside horses will cut the fractions today but will be unable to hold off the favorite #6 ANOTHER TENPIN TAP in the stretch drive resulting in a pretty low win payout in this race today.
